I am a big breakfast fan and this is one of the best!!! Been here a few times traveling through and it never disappoints. The food is homemade goodness and the people are friendly and deliver the expected Midwest and hometown customer service. A small stage in the back features some of the best local entertainment on the weekends which makes Cozy Cafe an excellent family restaurant.

We travel for hockey, and we like to try local places when we can. My son picked this one - and it was a good pick! Staff are friendly, portions are generous, and the food was good! We will visit again! *also, I have allergies which they were able to accommodate.

The state of Iowa shouldn’t be allowed to operate restaurants of any kind. I’ve been to two different restaurants and I’ve seen enough. Sticky bars and table tops and incompetent staff. They gave me my to go order with no plastic ware or condiments. When i asked for plastic ware they didn’t have any and ultimately had to give me silverware. The biscuits and gravy was super bland. They placed the food on top of foil so that as I’m eating I have to pick out pieces of foil from my food. The coffee was so weak, it’s as if they boiled water and whispered the word coffee into it. You’re better off eating processed food from McDonald’s. Two stars because the staff was nice albeit incompetent.

This is a great spot for breakfast and is centrally located for meeting others. The food is good the pancakes are plentiful. Ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and truly enjoyed it. The food is good and came out hot but you will need to add some salt and pepper to spice things up a little bit.

Such a cute cafe/restaurant, waitress/host was very friendly. I got a slice of coconut pie and biscuits and gravy. The coconut pie was not what I was expecting, I was really hoping it was going to be coconut cream pie, but it was like coconut pudding. I didn’t like it very much, and I should’ve looked closer before I bought it. The biscuits and gravy were good, but the gravy seemed like it might’ve came from a can or a package. Although the biscuits did seem to taste homemade. Very cool vintage diner feel, but idk that I would go back.

Ten of us recently stopped in for breakfast. Our server Jamie was phenomenal. Food was deliciously tasty. Grabbed a few pieces of their fried chicken to go. Good stuff. Recommended. 👍🏻

Omg the breakfast burrito was amazing!!! I also loved the homemade salsa that they served with it. I took half home and it was just as great the next day. I will be back to try more items! I also had 2 cups of coffee which was good and the waitress was very friendly and even tho it was a busy Sunday morning there was not much of a wait.

I got a carry out order and called to explain the my food was grease logged and uncooked. The hostess got hostile and hung up on me because there's nothing they can do about it. I didn't ask for new food I didn't ask for money back, I asked them to be careful because that was yucky and we can't eat it. I called back, a man answered, I asked for a manager. He yelled and said I am the owner, why are you asking for a manager. I said that's fine, explained what was wrong with my food. He restated that he's the owner. I said that's fine but my food is gross. It's grease logged and uncooked I can't feed this to my kids. He then proceeded to mimick me and say now you're trying to victimize your self because you have kids. I told him no, I ordered food from you I gave you my money. He then told me he doesn't need people like me and also hung up. **This has been my favorite food place since 2012, I had never gotten food like this or service like the young lady who answered the phone. It was abnormal, that's why I wanted nothing in return. I thought they'd want to know what was leaving their kitchen this morning. I thought the lady answering the phone was the problem, she was the reason I wanted to talk to a manager.
