The Fresh Market

The staff here is always so helpful. When Earthfare was open, I felt like I was bothering them if I initiated contact - even at the deli where they were supposed to wrap up stuff for customers. After a long work day, getting dinner from Deli was such a relief from cooking... But I felt like Earthfare staff were agitated I even came in the store. I've always been received at Fresh Market Deli with positivity. They answer questions or make suggestions if I ask. The food is always good. I'm pretty sure they have the best bakery in Johnson City. They have French style pastries and desserts that are honestly as good as I've had in New York or Europe. Even the cupcakes taste freshly baked there. (They have actual icing as well). It's the only place I'll eat store-bought cupcakes! They have a large selection of different dietary food options. At least 5 different milks, dairy, flax, oat, almond, etc. They have so many coffees and grind sizes! So many nuts and seeds... Ice cream, health bars... The things I want for special diet needs are always available. During this pandemic, they've required a mask to enter the store. Everyone is always wearing one. Which is important to me since I have family members that are high risk. Classical music is always playing, the lighting is also nice. You can still see, but it's a softer light that that of most grocery stores.. Making it feel nicer and calmer in the store. I like it. You will too.

Love the atmosphere and the music playing overhead! Great bakery selection, I really wish I wasn’t on a diet because the tiramisu looked delicious! The deli worker was very helpful when I bought smoked salmon. My only complaint is the inattentiveness of the cashiers. They were having a conversation amongst themselves and hardly acknowledged me and my husband while they were ringing us up.

I love our Johnson City Fresh Market! Every detail is attended to along with a beautiful shopping experience. Expect to find exceptional deserts, meats and a sundry of sauces and cheeses. The cashiers are extra nice and always helpful. The guys in the meat department are excellent at special cuts of meat and going out of their way. The pricing is very reasonable for the experience. Thank you for all your extra effort!!

Fresh food and helpful employees. A bit disorganized with pre-ordered holiday meal pickup. Stood in line to pick up my meal. As with others in line, I then had to step aside and wait for receipt of the meal. The time waiting and observing a couple of new hires asking where things were indicated they were making up the meals as we checked in. Also, people that ordered pies had to go to the bakery to pick their pies up. They weren't told that at pickup. Only a couple of people who checked their boxes and asked were told. I wonder how many trusted and got home without their full order.
