Simple.place for terrific Filipino food. The place itself is not fancy. No liquor but they allow BYOB. Great Filipino BBQ and street food (pig ears and intestines and chicken feet). Also Halo-halo. Reasonable prices. Kinda tough to find parking in the area.

Tasty Filipino food. Price is good for the quality. They have lots of the classics : Pork Sisig, Kare-Kare, Crispy Pata, & Lechon. Everything we tried was very good. Food was seasoned very well. Yellow rice tasted bland though. The garlic rice I found to taste the best. This place is located in a Filipino part of town so you can walk around and find a different good ethnic shops in the area. Good spot to visit.

Food was delicious and service was great. We had sisig, palabok, beef pares, dinuguan (pork blood stew), crispy pata, chicharon (deep fried chicken skin), stuffed squid, chicken bacolod, and kare kare with our big group. Would definitely recommend all as they were well-prepared and tasty,

The best Kare-Kare in New Jersey can be found in Jayhan’s grill. There is no contest to it. Their version of Kare-Kare is a contrast of texture and flavors. You have the crispy pork belly, the soft, succulent ox tail and the creamy peanut butter sauce. All of these combined made the best Kare-Kare out there. Jayhan’s also serve your classic Filipino street food fanfare or instestines and kwek-kwek. The pièce de ré·sis·tance (yes, I googled that) was their spiced suka (dipping sauce made of vinegar). You can slurp this suka down your throat without any regrets. When you are in Jersey City, come and support this local joint. They are simply the best Filipino comfort food you can have in this part of New Jersey.

I love Jayhan’s Grill!!! Between the inihaw, sisig, kare-kare —even the sinigang bangus, everything is so well made and at an affordable price. I have not been disappointed coming here! The portions are big enough that everyone in the table can just share, in the true Filipino family fashion. It feels good to find a good Filipino restaurant in Jersey City with quality food, good atmosphere, and at a great price. Below is the amazing pork sisig!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised about how good the food was. Each dish was as authentic as you can get. I felt like I was back in Philippines, but without a cold glass of Red Horse or San Miguel beer, lol. Oh, and the loaded cheesy fries was amazing!! I'll definitely be back.
