The Grand Cafe

The Grand Cafe is a eclectic place for casual dining in the heart of the Capitol City, Jefferson City, Missouri. The menu offered a good array of options from which to choose. I ordered the BLT Wrap with the House Fries. My partner ordered the Cubano Panini with the House Fries. Both of us felt the fries were okay, but not warm enough to taste and lacked a crispness and saltiness one might expect of a higher quality French Fry. The service was exceptionally good, and yet we did not learn the Server’s name until we saw it on the check. I ordered the Gooey Butter Chocolate Brownie with a side scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was not only beautifully plated and presented, but delicious AND expensive. Be certain you inquire about the prices of desserts BEFORE you order as mine was as much as what I ordered for lunch. It was ample, but not of such quality that warranted the price. Overall, this is a good, casual dining location in the State Capitol. Seating was comfortable, and the dining area clean. They may want to consider refinishing the metal ceiling as while it is distressed painting, it may appear to some dining customers to be peeling paint. Parking on Saturday was not bad, but go early.

ENJOY We came in and were greeted immediately. I love that everyone is pleasant and happy we are here. Smiles are nice. This is an upscale dining experience for sure. Prices are a little extravagant but you're also paying for class an ambience as well. Every once in a while we deserve to splurge. We had the Cobb salad and the southwest panini w/chips They were very delicious! Our service was excellent! I would definitely return

Do you want to go somewhere where they take your dining experience serious? From cocktails and wine to entrees and desserts, you'll know you stumbled onto something special. Ben and his crew at The Grand Cafe are what Jefferson City long forgot ago how to accomplish: love your community, and feed them excellent food. Nothing is bought premade but prepared in-house or at the High Rise Bakery across the street. They can even deliver their artwork poolside, if you so wish. Why go to a restaurant where they treat you like another number they have to serve? Go to The Grand Cafe and you'll feel like your at the family table.

Devine food, friendly staff, and homey feel. This was the best food I’ve had in Mid Missouri and some of the best I’ve ever had. Their deserts (pictured pumpkin bread pudding and gooey butter brownie) were amazing. The staff was so welcoming. (Ask for Kevin!!) loved the unique combos of food and fresh quality bread and chips. Their Cuban sandwich is fantastic and the best one you can get north of Miami. Very well priced too!
