Moore's Landing

Only giving one star because u can't leave a review without it. The staff at this place was VERY RUDE!! My sister's and I were traveling from out of state for our sister's birthday and googled this place to stop for lunch on our way back to Memphis. We got there at 2 o clock with the hours being that they close at 3. Walking into the door, comments were being made about having another table and mentioned the fact that "they thought they were going to go home early" . Several comments were made and it was clear we were not welcomed. After talking among my sisters, the waitress came to our table and asked if we were ready to order because they were about to close the kitchen. This was an entire hour before closing time. My sister's and I found this very rude and unprofessional. We were simply looking for a meal and this place clearly didn't have time for another customer. This did not look good for their business at all. You should not post business hours at a certain time if clearly you don't want to stay until that time.

The food is acceptable. Lots of good fried options. They are a bit short staffed though. Edited on 8/12 to reflect my most recent visit: I walked in to an empty dining room and was "greeted" by a woman I was later able to identify as the owner. She asked "do you need something?" The only response I found acceptable was "yeah I came to eat." She then gestured at a table and I was able to place an order. While I sat eating my meal staff stood around staring at me but did not approach. I had placed my order directly with one of the cooks as I knew her, no one objected to this process. While waiting for the cook to come back and bust the table I noticed one of the standing waitresses using an electronic cigarette in what I can only describe as the drink staging room, a practice which cannot be accepted by the health board. The entire ordeal has put me off of this restaurant, I cannot recommend going and I will not be back.

First time there, and service was great, but the fish and chicken had a very scorched taste, and we couldn't eat it. When we were ready to pay, we told the guy about the grease apparently being old, and he apologized, and made it right for our experience, I really appreciate that very much. I feel the food would have probably been really good, if it hadn't been for the old grease. We will try to come back again and give it another try in the near future!

The food was really good, especially the fried cheese sticks. Our steak was served with warm marinade as a steak sauce, similar to dale's. The service was very good. My drink never ran empty. The bathroom needs a redesign, it looks like it was just thrown together with two toilets and no stalls. Bathroom was clean though. Overall will eat there again.

Place is a total waste of my hard earned greenbacks. We go in there and they set us in this creepy back room with no AC in the brazen heat of Alabama. Then half of our party got their food. Then the other half got theirs after a additional 30 min. All the food wasn't good at all and way too greasy. And all there shrimp still have the poop sacks. All there portions were way too small. Staff was friendly though.Please folks dont spend your money on this garbage.

I don't eat at Moore's Landing very often because their food is very greasy; it's good, but very greasy. However, they usually have good steaks and i LOVE their salad and ranch dressing! The last time i stopped in, the a/c wasn't working very well - they've GOT to get that fixed!!! It's 105+ heat index with stoves going in the kitchen... can't stay in there for long!

Ive been here a good bit .Usually good ..but the past few times hasnt been great. My waitress was a bit rude. My steak i ordered medium but it was cooked well done. My girl had the popcorn shrim.... And they serviing of popcorn shrimp wasnt as much as they usually serve. Didnt say anything to waitress cause she was akready in such a bad mood she made us feel like it would be a hassle to say anything. Not sure we will be back.
