The Service Station Restaurant

10/10 recommend this hidden gem in Johnstown CA! It is tucked away down a historical Main Street and truly is a must stop place if you’re hungry! Also, service was a 10/10 as well. From the hostess to our amazing waitress Heather. Super friendly, great with recommendations and sharing some of her personal favorites from the menu. Food wise, super great! From the turkey meatballs and nacho fries to the steak, absolutely phenomenal! Serving sizes are above average and worth it to be able to take some home. My friends and I are visiting from Ohio and this place did not disappoint. Again, thank you heather for being so kind and providing exceptional service

Food was great, very attentive to us and our dog. However they lost my wife's credit card and we just spent 3 hours fixing all accounts this was tied to after canceling it. Owner appeared very genuine about this not happening before but, wanted to share with the public here in case it happens to others or is a trend. Again lovely location, food and staff, otherwise would be 5 stars.

Everything was way too salty. We’re talking junky fast food fries salty! Beer cheese sauce and fries especially. Calamari looked like it was the crumbs dumped from the bottom of a bag,Tiny pieces and a ton of bread crumbs. Steak at “market price” like it’s a 5 start restaurant, but definitely doesn’t look or taste that way. The staff was nice but food quality is mediocre at best.
