Review Jacksonville Inn Restaurant - Jacksonville

Wow! I had dinner here for St. Paddy’s Day and their special was amazing. Apparently their new head chef is very passionate about curing and specialty meats. This showed through in the delicious corned beef special that I ordered. The service was spectacular with our server, Amanda, showing equal parts wit/humor and competency/timing. The ambience was perfect and they had an amazing wine selection. I had a peek at their brunch menu (drooling!) while I was there and that is definitely next up. I can’t wait to come back…again and again!

We love everything of this restaurant. Prime Rib was well cook and separated two plates for us to share. We selected grill vegetables and mashed potatoes to match the meat, of course, with the suggestion of our wonderful server. The appetizer of oysters was delicious, beautifully tasting with the local Chardonnay. They has a list of salads and offer half size, so you can try more than one at a meal. Thanks for providing great food, excellent service with such a reasonable and affordable price range!❤️

The restaurant is very dark and not intuitive to get in. Many years ago the food was amazing. A couple years ago the food was not good at all. New owners have brought it back to life, but have a little ways to go. The food was good but lacked inspiration. The service was great, but was short of true "fine dining". The main floor dining area is overflow and most guests are seated in the downstairs. The lower level feels like a dungeon. Jacksonville is such an amazing town they should really showcase the front room seating. The original entrance is closed and we watched 90% of guests trying to go in that way only to turn around and wind down a unintuitive direction to finally find the host stand. The menu was simple but had great variety. The sauces were good but did not wow the palette. Steak was lightly seasoned but fell short of imagination. The fish was cooked well, maybe slightly over done. Everything was safe. It was like the chef was afraid to go out on a limb and create something daring. They followed the recipe exactly like someone else wrote it. We'll be back, and here's to hoping 2022 takes them to new and greater heights.

Rented out 7 of the 8 rooms for a wedding weekend. All the rooms looked great and the one we stayed in was good. The various rooms had differently sized bathrooms and the main room had a copper tub in the room itself. The overall weekend was good and we all thought it was a good experience and would recommend it. We had breakfast at the restaurant and while the service was great the fine dining food was trying too hard. Our table of 7 had mixed reviews on the food but the staff were great. If you are going to be in Jacksonville, stay here.

Wow wow wow and wow. Food is amazing!!!! I'm not gonna lie, I'm usually pretty cheap and wouldn't spend this much on food. But let me tell you: it is 100% worth it. 100%. Everything i tried was phenomenal!!! PHENOMENAL!!! And I'm talking from appetizers to entrees to dessert to drinks. Nothing came close to disappointing. Absolutely amazing food and drinks, and after going once I am sold and will definitely be back again because it is worth it! Owners and staff are friendly, great, and knowledgeable. You can't go wrong here. An absolute must stop for food and drinks. And the history is very cool as well.

Catering review: We used Jacksonville Inn for catering with a plated dinner on a wedding 5/21/22. Amanda was amazing to work with and was able to adjust parts of their catering menu to fit certain requests, like a special steak for the groom. The food was fresh, proper temperature, and above all else delicious. I had the chicken piccata and it was the best chicken dish I have ever had. The servers were friendly, professional, and all guests received their meals in a timely manner. If you are looking for catering for any event I would HIGHLY recommend Jacksonville Inn.

Sorry we are out of that too…. Wednesday evening anniversary dinner with my wife, first time visitors. We arrive to a half full dining room for our 7pm reservation and start our order. May we start with bread? So sorry we are out. We would like to share the Caesar Salad with our meal. So sorry, we are out of that too. I’ll have the “World Famous” prime rib. Ok. Half hour later. I am so sorry sir, we are out of prime rib too. On top of this, the staff was using extremely foul language with each other out loud. Our recommendation, choose something else!!! Never offered a discount, a dessert or drink for our trouble. By the way, if you sit at a table that had 2 people but it is a 4 top, they repurpose the utensils and glasses. Beware!!

Over the last couple years this has become our go-to spot for a romantic dinner. Is it pricey, indeed it is. But the ambiance, atmosphere (is that the same as ambiance, idk), food, and service are all top notch. As a matter of fact we have reservations for our 21st anniversary coming up this Thursday and we are stoked!

This past weekend I stayed at The Presidential Suite.. a beautiful private cottage near the Historical Jacksonville Inn istself. Large spacious comfortable accommodations, we opened the door to find a warm fireplace lit room.. a complete patio backyard and water feature. There are only a few rooms to this Inn and it gets booked quickly due to not only the quaint historic and beautifully decorated rooms and cottages, but the staff from the front desk to the bellman to the owner who is constantly on the premises making sure your stay is as amazing as possible...are extremely helpful and prompt. The reason that many Presidents and Celebrities also choose Jacksonville, and stay at Jacksonville Inn.. is because within the quietness and privacy of their stay, they can decompress from the pressures of the world. They can enjoy the aromatic beauty of the pine trees, the local deer that have right of way, the one horse town ambience complete with a saloon and a little adventure with an occasional slot machine. Then Returning to your cottage or private room with a bottle of wine from their complete and un abbridged wine selection located at the reception desk. Or you can go straight to the fabulous Resteraunt. Thanks Jerry Evans for a wonderful experience! I will be back! Love your local vino selection too!!

J'Ville Inn is a must for anyone who visits southern Oregon. Hospitality at it's finest and the best family owned and operated dining experience of your life. If you understand what it takes to run a business that is so successful just step into the kitchen and see the true food genius's! I have personally known this wonderful family for over 50 years. I love the Evan's family. Yours Truly Cindy Shreeve! :)

We had a wonderful time. The room was very quaint. The restaurant offerings delightful. And the staff very cordial. When we purchased a bottle of wine they provided us with an opener and appropriate glasses for our use.

We love having dinner on the patio at the Jacksonville Inn or inside when the weather turns brisk. Have never had a bad meal.

Pretty good at an average restaurant price in a nicer than average setting. Positives: price, taste, service. Negatives: bread and butter tasteless, flies in the outside patio.
Sharon Barker Dysart

Had a wonderful time for my birthday, at Sunday Brunch. Our server, Pierce, was excellent. Very attentive and personable. The food was excellent, everyone really enjoyed their selection from the menu. We ate out on the patio, and with the lovely, cool weather, it was perfect. One pesky fly, but for summertime outdoor dining, not too surprising. What a great experience!

We stopped here on our journey to Yosemite. We had the opportunity to purchase tickets for the Oregon Winemaker dinner. Exquisite food, wine and service! We stayed in one of the cottages and just had a wonderful time! We'll be back!

We went to have dinner on 10/08/17, this was our third visit there. The customer service is excellent, the food is superb and the drinks are fabulous! My husband loves the design of the men’s bathroom! We can’t wait to go back to Jacksonville so we can go back to the inn.

It is simply amazing every single time!!! By far the most delicious menu in the Rogue Valley.
Joanne Nelson Kaplan
Dinner was so delicious that we stopped by for breakfast the next day. Great place!

We had a wonderful dinner and our server MacGregor was awesome. I gave him a raise, though it likely won't show up on his check. Stop in for dinner or a delicious dessert and ask for him. You can't go wrong.

Love the old style of the building and the coziness.. The Blue Cheese Creme Brulee is delicious. The staff is great!
Diane S. Hunter
It was Quant cozy and the food was delicious.. The only negative is that we ordered 3 things to share cause we are on a Carb free diet and she wanted to change us $7 share fee.. I just told her to bring the three dishes and we would work it out.

I've had dinners prepared by French chefs in French Polynesia and this restaurant is comparable to some of the best I've Been to. Exquisite

Been dining at the JVille Inn for 20 years! So good, always great service. So nice we decided to get married in the Williamson Room 17 years ago, same place we had our first date 20 years ago. We like to say it all began with the JVille Inn
