Review Golden Egg Roll - Jacksonville

Called to place an order, the lady on the phone was pleasant and easy to order with. Came in to pick it up and was greeted kindly, and politely informed the food was still being made. When it was done, she brought it out to me instead of simply calling me to the counter. The food was good, the Mandarin chicken was hot and fresh, even though it was made right before they closed. Prices are reasonable as well. Definitely recommend for a quick bite!

Golden Eggroll Review I visit this location frequently. The service can be described as polite and efficient. This location offers a drive thru. I usually average a wait time of 5-10 minutes when ordering from this location. The food can be described as flavorful, filling and fresh. My favorite item to order from here is the Teriyaki Chicken Combo. The chicken along with the fried rice both taste fresh and pleasant. Unlike other chinese food places, the fried rice here seems genuine and not artifical. The teriyaki sauce is also sweet and delicious. I believe this place is a hidden gem, my only complaint about this location would be the packaging of the food. More often than not, sauce will be placed haphazardly into the to go tray causing sauce to pool into the plastic grocery bag. More than once I have taken my food to work, only to be greeted with a sticky mess. Overall, this is an excellent place to order food but be prepared to deal with a bit of a mess when opening your food.

My favorite Chinese food. Affordable, large servings and consistent. Some of the sauces are different than usual Chinese, but so good. My favorite is Mandarin Chicken. The women working up front are always kind as well.

Love coming here! Great food at a great price, packaging could be done better. However, usually when I go home, the bag has a bunch of leaked sauce in it, so I have to put it all on a plate.

Moved here from the Northeast years ago where Chinese food is great. Every place I tried in Jax was disappointing, until I found this hole in the wall. From the looks of the exterior, and the location in general, one might be wary. Given all that, this is the only place I will ever order Chinese from in Jax. I’ve tried many menu items, and have yet to be disappointed. It’s not what I used to get back home because it’s just different, but it’s light years better than any other place I’ve tried.

I have been coming here for thirty years. I even worked here for a minute too(6 months). The food is always good but, Elaine-the Owner needs to update her decor and seating in this location. We could barley sit comfortably. The Owner, Elaine is a wonderful and hard working lady, for sure. She used to come in and cook something special for us when she could. She runs the Lem Turner location, but owns both locations.

The food is cooked fresh to order & customer service is amazing.

Quick service! One of few with general tso shrimp

I ordered my usual and it was very fresh and hot and not to mention tasty as well so I don't have any thing bad to say but I ll see them soon !

Seafood eggrolls w/ shrimp, cream cheese and green onion are the best and their <br/>barbecue spareribs are candied so delish and I like their hot & sour soup.

The worst food I have ever eaten. I am not sure what that was that they were trying to pass off as beef but definitely was not. The Hot and Soup they passed off was egg drop and they just poured in some pepper spice. I would never ever go back here.

Food not as good. Went there on 3/22/15 ordered honey chicken with white rice.... chicken was soggy and way to salty<br/>also ordered vegetable lo mein, got it home and opened it look like it had been cooked the day before, not many vegetables and very dark in color, what vegs there were they were over cooked<br/><br/>really surpised been eating here for years and food has always been good, not now.......

Doesn't Respect Paying Customers. For a long time, this used to be the only place where I would buy Chinese food. It wasn't the best food in the world, but the portions were good and the food would always be served hot. Most of all, you couldn't beat the price and they have a drive thru. <br/><br/>But, please take notice that I said it USED to be my pick for Chinese food. All of that changed recently when I placed an order and upon paying for my food, the young lady working the window just out of the blue said 'Precious' at the top of her lungs. Mind you she did not say, "How, are you doing today PRECIOUS?", or "Thank you, PRECIOUS!" Or even "Hurry up and get out of the way PRECIOUS." <br/><br/>At first I was going to let it ride, but sometimes you have to let people know that you are not going to tolerate their foolishness. I called the store and described the incident to them. This would have been the perfect time for the manager to say, "Nothing was meant by it; we call everybody PRECIOUS." But no, these people are not that intelligent. She proceeds to say, "No, nobody here call anybody PRECIOUS. If we say anything, we call them HON." I told her that I was very disappointed and that it amazes me that you would treat your paying customers that way. You should be worried about how my money looks and not your impression of my physicality. <br/><br/>So, even if this place had the last grain of fried rice and the last shred of chicken and the last few broccoli florets on earth, I would sooner boil a vagrants old socks and eat them than purchase another meal from Golden EggRoll on Atlantic Blvd. <br/><br/>To the owners, may everything you put your hands to disintegrate before you very eyes. And everyday, I hope someone belittles you or demeans you in some manner for some attribute of you physical being or for something over which you have no control. PEACE (NOT)!
