Best. BBQ. Ever. I've been going to Cotten's BBQ since I was three years old and the quality has never wavered.
Great food, friendly, professional and fast service!!! The Rib Sandwich is my favorite!!! They have a great mesquite chicken sandwich, and cold beer as well!

I had great Ribs here last night and during the course of the evening one of the owners herself, came out to ask how my meal was....This action at any establishment has always been a winning moment for me. I will be back here again.

I love this place. Always has been the best bbg in Arlington. Can't get any better than the Mesquite chicken dinner. Regular hangout if you live in Arlington... Fred and Yvonne Cotten have been at the same location for over 31 years.
Just The Way We Like It. The food was very good. We had the large pork sandwich plate with beans and french fries. The garlic bread that the meat was served on was awesome because it was very buttery and toasted. The pork was a good serving for a sandwich, we did not have any throwaway pieces and it had a great flavor/texture. The meat was especially good because it had a dry, not dried out, consistency indicating it was fresh and had not been sitting in a steamer tray like we have found at other local barbecue places. The side dishes were hot and fresh, and the sauces (sweet tomato, hot tomato, mustard and hot mustard) were all good. Our server was excellent and we didn't want for anything during our visit. We will definitely return.
Best Bar-B-Que in Jax. I have been going to cotten's for almost 45 years. I used to go to the one downtown as a kid and now as an adult I go to the one in Arlington on Rogero road. I have never had a bad meal or a bad attiude displayed there. The pork is the best in town the beef is great and the chicken is good too. The staff is always warm and friendly with great southern hospitlity. And there beans are the I have ever had in a bar-B-Que Joint!

Great atmosphere. It,s like Cheers everybody is fun and friendly. The center cut pork dinner is great, the meat is always moist and flavorful. I like corn nuggets and they have the best. Good beans too.

Helen. We've been going to Cotten's Barbecue on Rogero for over 15 years on a regular basis and find it to be THE BEST ribs, chicken, salad, etc. and have used them on a large catering and we and our guests were extremely satisfied with the food.
Early Bird Specials. They are a family business. They are very nice there. The food is good. If you get there at a certain hour, before dinner, you get a discount.
This place has been around forever. I’m not really sure what they’re known for. I had a chopped barbecue sandwich with some delicious sauce. I personally added the two types of hot sauce they had.
My beer was not as cold as I would have liked it to be. But it was good food regardless and I would recommend you come by and check this place out.
I think they’re missing an awesome branding opportunity, with the company name and logo they have.
The food is plentiful, fresh and delicious. A Mom & Pop operation. They might be pretty close to retirement. I hope they keep working! This is a great place to dine in or to take out. It’s a pretty popular place for Arlington. I’ve been in my house for 22 years now and they have been here longer than that. Everyone love Cotten’s! My favorite is the beans and dogs.
My friend and I went to Cotten's BBQ about a week ago and we had to go soon because it was announced that the owners are going to retire and close after 34 years of serving the customers in Arlington so well one delicious plate of the best BBQ I have ever had. Their last day of business was February 28th and my friend had a doctor's appointment and we had plans to go afterwards about 330pm and when we got there, we found that the sign outside had been taken down and when we got there we were told that they had closed for good as they had ran out of food. My taste buds were set for some good BBQ. I was so bummed out! We had some good meals there while we were there. I will miss this place so much☹️

Very good barbecue! Turkey lunch plate delicious and good value! Lots of sides to choose from and best Cole slaw! Small staff but do a great job! Old Church's chicken picnic table seating.
I had to go to Cotten's for the last time. I will miss the incredible ribs and chicken. It brings tears of Joy for the memories of grabbing dinner for my Dad and me. I really miss my father and I will miss Cottens as well!
Sad to see them hang up their aprons. After 36 years of satisfying appetites, they are closing the shop 2-28-2023. Bon appetit friends!
I work right across the street from this wonderful restaurant, so I’ve been going there almost everyday! 😁 their food is just on point! It tastes so good. I was really missing out. Love the food and the people there. Always smiling :)
Lunch yesterday was perfect. The pork plate lunch and ribs were delicious. The meat was tender and great tasting. I always get great service and am never disappointed with what we order. It is also good to support an Arlington owned family business.
My family has been coming here for decades. I had both of my graduation parties here. Fred and Yvonne really know how to host parties and constantly replenish your guests with fresh food throughout your party. The Sloppy Freddie and the hot garlic bread were crowd favorites. When I get my Doctorate degree, I will be celebrating at Cottens again.
I ordered ribs chicken pulled pork loaded fries beans and Cole slaw. It was my first time there the service was very friendly ,even above and beyond the normal expectation. The meat was tender and flavorful. Beyond reproach in my opinion. The only problem was the sauce they had many types but none packed a powerful flavor to me, otherwise this would be 5 stars
Customer service was excellent Go see Michelle!!!!! Ribs and chopped pork was good. Greens were a little bland, but nothing hotsauce/vinegar couldn't fix. Baked beans were PERFECT! And I loved the slaw. Only drawback is I wasn't a fan of the sauces. I'd still recommend this place 10/10 times.
Chose this place for bbq lunch wow was I surprised. The smoke pouring out the chimney was the only advertising they needed I was pleasantly surprised by the quaint furnishing inside and the laid back server. The food was out of this world smoked just enough to taste but not overwhelming. Definitely will be back!!!
Had the small rib basket which includes two sides. I picked the fries (overcooked) and slaw (pretty good). The small basket came with 3 bones, which were very small and one piece of thick garlic toast. The ribs tasted great, with excellence smoked flavor. Would have preferred larger ribs, considering the price. Had a nice helping of mustard sauce and theirs is probably one of the best mustard sauces you can find in Jacksonville. The only mustard sauce better in JAx is the Cotton's on Main Street. Added a large sweet tea for a total of $16.92... So yes, a bit pricey for a small lunch rib basket.
