Here are my thoughts:
The sweet tea, fries, and beef brisket sandwich with the sweet and tangy sauce - Perfection!
The baked beans - Very good. Why so much meat though?
The greens - Good, liked them better the second day. Again, why so much meat?
I will definitely be back. It’s gone be hard for me to NOT.
North Florida Tasting Room
So many restaurants to choose from in this area but we decided on Bar BQ tonite and head to Bono’s. As expected the place was busy with lots of families and children dining. Our host saw it was just the two of us and recommended the bar area… and like everything else he suggested it was perfect! Noisy as expected but the service was fast and spot on. The Thursday special platter was a crazy amount of food and the side of the day, cabbage and ham was super good. Loved watching the pit boss do his thing as well as the prepping and efficiently this place runs on. We were expecting chaos and truly enjoyed our food, entertainment and service!

Visited this location just before noon on a weekday. We were seated promptly and drink orders taken and delivered. Tea in Jacksonville is hit or miss everywhere. In this instance the unsweet tea was good but the sweet tea had a taste so it was replaced with a soft drink. Our orders came out in a reasonable time and were correct and warm. Both the brisket and pulled pork were relatively fat free. Fries were crisp, Garlic bread was toasty and buttery. The baked beans were good. The potato salad, though, was a bit too oniony even for my taste. Service was adequate but we had three different people stop by. We found the table somewhat sticky; not food sticky but cleanser or old varnish sticky. Overall it was a good visit and had enough take home for lunch tomorrow.

We happened to arrive a little before the crowd so it wasn’t busy Casual setting but delicious food. The sweet corn nuggets starter was very different but delicious. We had wings and St. Louis ribs Both were done to perfection. Many sides available. I had green beans and fried corn in the cob ( which was to die for). Service was excellent we were even offered tea to go without asking.

Thanks for your reply. Here's my updated review. I got to thinking about my last visit to a Bono's restaurant and how I enjoyed my experience. I thought about the pulled pork and the cole slaw, so I got finished with the days events, I stopped in for a take out experience, which was a 5 out of 5.

Absolutely delicious BBQ. Sauces all finger licking good. Baked beans,collard greens and coleslaw are all amazing.😍😍😍😍😍😍Sweet tea Devine!!! We have to drive to Jacksonville for more Bono's Pit BBQ.... Make sure to stop by when in Jacksonville!!!!

Had the ribs, Mac and cheese with fried corn. Ribs was smoked to perfection, Mac and cheese was tasty, and the fried corn was different. All in all a very good meal.

This is probably my favorite bonos around town. The service is great, the wait is usually short, and the food is always delicious. Their turkey bbq is the best compared to other bbq places around. The sauces are really what sets them apart though. You can't go wrong with any flavor you choose. I'm hungry again just thinking about it!

Quick, attentive and friendly service. No wait to be seated. Had the 3 meat platter (turk/pulled pork/brisket) all with great flavor. Baked beans and cole slaw were good too.

Was up in Jacksonville for a business trip and saw this place on Google maps close to my hotel. I love BBQ so said I'd give it a go. I got the two meat platter with ribs and brisket. Both were very tasty and well cooked. I also got the wings. Was stuffed and enjoyed both. Would definitely go back
