Review Bonchon - Jacksonville

This place is definitely a hidden gem at Town Center! My first time at Bonchon- I tried their specialty drink of the strawberry lemonade and got an order of the small wings in their signature soy garlic sauce with pickled radish and an additional side of kimchi. These wings are literally the best wings I’ve ever had in my life. They were super crunchy on the outside, but perfect on the inside. The strawberry lemonade was the perfect compliment to my meal. Also, my server, Enara, was absolutely amazing. She was so patient with me and explained everything on the menu and answered all my questions. She was super sweet and made my experience here even better. I plan on recommending this restaurant to everyone I know!

Everything was wonderful. The chicken is so good and crunchy. The tacos amazing, the Japchae was delicious. The only thing we didn't like was the texture of the Udon Noodles in the soup but the broth was so good. I'd give them a 10 even though those noodles were slimy 🤣. The staff was awesome and the food came out quick.

I recently dined at Bonchon in Town Center Jacksonville and had a mostly enjoyable experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the food. The Korean fried chicken was flavorful, crispy, and truly delicious. The unique sauces added an extra layer of taste that made the meal stand out. The menu variety was impressive as well, offering a range of options to suit different preferences. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, with a modern and clean design that created a comfortable dining environment. The service was attentive, and the staff seemed knowledgeable about the menu. While my overall experience was positive, there were a few areas that could be improved. The wait time for our food was slightly longer than expected, which was a minor inconvenience. Additionally, the prices seemed a bit on the higher side for the portion sizes provided. Although Bonchon offers a unique and tasty dining experience, addressing the wait times and adjusting the pricing could enhance the overall value for customers. In summary, I would give Bonchon in Town Center Jacksonville a solid four-star rating. The standout flavors, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service are definitely worth experiencing. With a few adjustments, this restaurant has the potential to provide an even more exceptional dining outing.

phenomenal food and service. they weren't hovering and not attentive. the food tasted great. we enjoyed the Korean Bulgogi tacos. food was hot. word of advice, if it says spicy they mean it! it was really good but we had to adjust to the Korean spice. if spicy food are not your Forte then skip those choices for another. next time we intent on trying to Korean fried chicken for sure!

This place is a hidden gem, it was still busy and people know about it but the food is good and the service was better.

First off, I don't give 5 stars to ANY restaurant. The wings are extra crispy and will have you picking off the delicious skin so you don't waste it. I had half spicy and half soy garlic. Both equally delicious. The Bulgogi and spicy chicken tacos were also delicious. The Bulgogi rice was delicious. The seasoned fries were delicious. In case you didn't know, everything I had here was delicious. I would come back weekly if had a reason to drive the distance. FYI, the venue is small but small enough to complain about. Only mentioning because if you are planning on having a large group, you might want to call ahead.

This place is nice and quaint. We had B a couple of appetizers for a light dinner. We got the octopus cakes, the shrimp cakes, the pork belly pockets, and the 10 piece mixed flavor wings. For two people it B was a good filling dinner. One thing that we found a bit annoying was that some of the appetizers come in 3's which makes it awkward for a couple to dine. They have a large selection of beers and beverages. From the other people in the restaurant I saw the tacos that looked delicious and a spicy chicken dish that was sizzling and plentiful at a table next to us. The two waiters were nice and friendly, but they needed some help since they were slammed. I'll return to try the tacos and the chicken dish. ;)

The service was good and the establishment was clean. This was our first time in the restaurant and the server was very helpful in finding a dish and side that would be good. The food came a little faster than expected, since we read that it could take 30 minutes for fried chicken. The bathrooms were clean as well.

Great fresh food with speedy service. Had it on back to back days while here for work. Bibimbap’s are fresh and tasty. Make sure to get it in the stone bowl for the full sizzling experience. Takoyaki octopus dumplings were unique and the first time I’ve had in any Asian restaurant. Next time I’ll try the Korean fried chicken for which this restaurant is known.

Loved it! My husband and I are so glad we caught this place before we left Jacksonville. Phillip was phenomenal from start to finish. We had a tremendous time and the food was beyond amazing. The restaurant was calm and cozy, great family environment with a friendly staff. I’d give more than five stars if I could.

Stopped here while at the Town center because my wife wanted to try the chicken. Started with takoyaki as I'm a fan of octopus. Probaby the best takoyaki I've had in Florida, it was creamy inside with just the right amount of sauce and katsuobushi...a hint of fishy funk but not overpowering. I had the tofu bibimbap in the stone bowl while my wife got the wings and the kids shared a chicken fried rice. I was slightly disappointed with the rice in my bibimbap, even with the stone bowl it didn't crisp up or get crunchy, probably why they add quinoa to the rice. The flavor was good, the sauce had a good amount of heat but without it the components lacked flavor/seasoning. The fried rice was ok, my wife tried it and said it tasted like what she makes, so ok but not good or great. My wife loved her chicken, she had the soy glazed and hot combo. The batter was crunchy and flavorful while the chicken remained juicy and moist. If you want some good fried chicken, this is the place!

Food was great as usual. We had the chicken drums, garlic strips and parmesean fries. The only issue I have with Bon Chons is the cost. It cost $68 with tip for 3 people at lunch and we all had water. No wonder we were the only ones in the restaurant

Not so new place to me coming from Cali, but... It's new to Jax ! So is it good for Jax ? Yes ! The fact that people know Korean food in Jacksonville is better than 6 years ago. But in either case this franchise is great! The flavor is exactly as it was from Cali but I have to say its wings were out beat by domu.. I still love the wings here they are still very crispy and juicy on the inside the spices are out of this world !! Everything from the menu came out fast, I didn't go during the rush so my order came out perfect. Food came out hot and fast, with great friendly service .. !!

We ate here the other night and had Patrick as our server. He was an absolute blast to converse with through out the meal, appreciated his one liners as well as keeping us entertained! Split the wings, and had the bulgogi bibimbap. Also split a bottle of lychee sake between 3 of us. Portions were super large, and the staff were great. Would give Patrick 10 stars if we could!

We went for the soft opening, and it's delicious. The fried chicken was the perfect amount of crispiness, crunch, and spiciness. The restaurant was hectic, so there is a little wait, but it's worth it for that sweet, sweet fried chicken. The next closest Bonchon would probably be in Orlando, so I'm glad we finally have one here in Jax.

Slowest and most unorganized service I've had in probably 5 years. 45 mins to just get an appetizer. If you want food in a decent timeframe stay away from this franchised chain.

Way over priced service is so so not a place for small kids long wait for food

Best wings in town!

Disappointed they aren’t willing to do Togo orders. I’ll take my money elsewhere.

When I was a bum in New York I used to sleep by the Bon Chon off by broadway.. for years i would dance and dress up as spider-man to make money and buy the 20 piece mild half spicy with daikon and some rice. Years later and many buckets of chicken spider-man fell off and the avengers became more popular i quit dancing and started a family here in Jacksonville... Today i found you are here down the street from me Today i will find my spider-man suit since he’s now in the new avengers... Today you will find me making money for your delicious double fried chicken Thank you to the Franchisee that brought this to us, may your replicate the greatness from the original stores as i will replicate mad dance moves if so...
