We ordered a gyro pita, falafel, and a spinach pie and cheese pie with hummus and tabouli to go. This place never disappoints! The service was very friendly and the food was delicious!
Hala is the real deal. Everything is so delicious. I love shopping at the market. Hummus is perfect and grape leaves are the best around!
Great place to buy good food, and the staff are very helpful and friendly, Ansar is the best
My family loves this place! It's a great way for the kids to try something new and the handmade grape leaf wraps are amazing!
Fantastic food, service, and cleanliness!Jacksonville’s best Mediterranean restaurant.
Love, Love, Love!!!!
One of our favorite places. We do many events at our office and Hala Cafe has catered many for us. The best tasting hummus in town and the most welcoming and friendly staff! A true Jacksonville gem!

Best Mediterranean Restaurant in town! Plus they have a market and great staff! My favorite "grape leaves and homemade pita chips"!
Great food and very friendly servers! This restaurant definitely lives up to its reputation.
This is the most amazing market in Jacksonville fl. You can find foods from all over the Middle East and they have fresh injeera everyday. That is very hard to find in Florida. The restaurant has great shawarma As well! The people are so sweet and caring.
The gyros nachos were the best ! Loved the store and loved the Greek salad too!
Definite a must go when in Jax! Great food and bakery/groceries! Yum!
So friendly and some of the most fresh, delicious food in Jax!

Excellent! Truly authentic food. I've only had the chance to visit Morocco once and Bahrain and the UAE on another trip, but the food at Hala is exactly what I experienced overseas. The service is wonderful too! A must try (or for me, a must frequent) :)
Great food, great service. It's always a pleasure to come here.
Great people, great food! I had the hummous with pita bread and lamb shawarma - both were delicious!
Shish kabab is the bestI also love their babahanush!
3PM lunch with a friend. We sampled a wide selection of appetizers and entrees. Everything was very good. Portions were generous. Service and atmosphere were excellent.
We ordered takeout. The combo shawarma platter, grape leaves, humus, baba ganoush, lentil soup, spinach pie, meat pie, tabouli, and baklava. Good flavor.
This has been our favorite middle Eastern restaurant for years going back to their spot in Neptune Beach. Best pita and hummus, along with a great variety of other dishes! Don't forget the baklava!
Delicious food and they know how to cook their lamb - tender and delicious. Hummus was delicious and the sumac fries (a red spice that tastes a bit like lemon is dusted over fries) was wonderful. A generous amount of pita was served along with the hummus and my photo of the plate was terrible because I had already dug in. There's a market attached with a variety of spices and a selection of olives and dates. I also bought one of the many varieties of Turkish delight they had. Service was efficient, and the seating was clean and pleasant.
My first time visiting a Jordanian establishment and I am super impressed. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the welcomed exchange between employees. Everyone was super helpful. The lunch menu was great. I tried the Lamb Shawarma Combo Plate, Baba Ghanoush, and Fattoush.
From the grocery the pita, meat pie, zatara, enjara, baklava, and spices were the best prices I have seen. Everything was fresh and aromatic. The deserts were awesome.
I don't know how I have missed this delightful treat all these years.
I love this store. Great food at reasonable prices The people are very friendly you feel very welcomed. Enjoy!
Ate here for lunch yesterday. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly staff. I sat at the bar, and the food came quick. It got busy around 12:30 with a wait. The food was amazing! The portions are a good size. I will be returning.
I'm not even talking about the food; the baked goods are the best I've found in JAX, including definitely the best pita (large and small) as well as a bunch of delicious middle-eastern baked goods.
Also, everybody that I've met there has been really nice.
I can't believe I've been sleeping on this place. I saw a post in a Facebook page and went the next day. The balaclava was delicious and service was quick. Too many options I wanted so I definitely will be back. I got the traditional gyro and it was great.
This place is amazing! The food is so good. The gentleman that helped me today (I’m not sure if he’s the owner or not) he was very nice. I noticed that he was drinking something in a tiny little glass cup, so I asked him what it was and he told me it was a Tea and he said let me let you try it and it was great. His friendliness was wonderful!
Great, flavorful food and friendly service. I loved the tea and went to the market after I finished my meal and bought some of the things I liked. I'd definitely recommend. 💯 Coming back myself to keep trying all the great menu items.
Chicken riders! 🙌🏽 I’ve gotten them from here for over 20years! Love them, great flavor!
I am of German heritage and HALA'S is a bit far away from me as I live in Orange Park , Florida which is about 13 miles away . I had business on that side of Jacksonville , so after business , I headed over to Hala's . My latest visit was great with only one disappointment - no spinach pies were available at that time . SIGH ! My favorite is Hala's pita bread which is ALWAYS soft and tasty ! My second favorite item is MAKDOUS ( pickled eggplant that is stuffed with walnuts ) ! With no spinach pies available , I bought the cheese pies instead , which were just as delicious ! I couldn't leave without buying four Kibby . I spent about $48.00 for four Kibby , two packages of pita bread , two jars of makdous , and two cheese pies . My former wife who was Lebanese introduced me to middle eastern food and I LOVE IT ! For those who have not tried Hala's , they should give it a whirl !
OMG! Middle Eastern food heaven! Bread was perfect, spinach and meat pies were perfect, and lots of grocery items and ready to eat food. Can't wait to eat at the restaurant!
Solid food — was a little disappointed that the falafel platter didn’t come with more food. I’m used to having pita bread come out with the falafel platter, but it just came with 5 falafels, a dollop of hummus, and some tabouleh. The fava bean soup was hearty and filling.

Late lunch, after 1pm
Not too crowded, fast initial service.
Food (Chicken Shawarma) was very good and surprisingly filling.
Note: there were signs advertising a remodel coming soon

I like the other dinning room they had before. Current one, seating tables are too close together. I understand they needed that space they had before for other things .just to crowded in there.
My favorite restaurant to eat lunch and read a book. I’ve been coming here for at least ten years and I try to come once a week or so. There are so many vegan options and I always leave satisfied and happy.
