Looks like a dump on the outside - just the area I think but the inside is really surprising nice and well kept. Waiter or owner had kids there (young) and they were quietly watching a laptop or something. Not that this matters - just noticed and see that as a family type business which is cool. Onto the food... I had Crab Rangoon which was phenomenal! Chicken on a stick things with some peanut butter sauce.... they were just Ok... wouldn't order those again - chicken was just a little dry. Then a spicer version of the Pad Thai - can't remember what they called it. Little dry as well but would order again - has just the right amount of heat (I got medium).
The owner or waiter - not sure which was very talkative while I waited for my take out order. Very friendly!
I would visit again. 4/5 just because it's not something I would write home about but good eats, good atmosphere and the perfect amount of spice.

My favorite Thai restaurant and also my favorite restaurant period. Food is plentiful and always cooked to order. If you want cheap and precooked Thai food go else where. If you want a quality meal at a good price this is your place. Staff/Owner down to earth people, they will treat you like family.

This place is superior to all Thai food in Jax. The owner's treat you like family- they truly have a servants heart and you can see this the moment you walk in the door. They are ALWAYS on point with the spice level for pad Thai- never too spicy, always made with perfect balance.

The most authentic Thai restaurant in all of Jacksonville. My husband and I love this place. We have been eating here for years and feel like a part of the family. Service is great and the food is spicy and tasty.

One of our favorite places for lunch. Excellent authentic experience - most other places will have a similar menu but their curries will be watery because they lack or skimo on the coconut milk. Here it's more like a gravy, rich and creamy, with as much or as little spicy heat with all the flavor. Recommend the Massaman or Yellow Curry with chicken. Appetizer selection is lacking but the soup is tasty.

This was a pleasant and unexpected experience. I had the beef green curry. Great combination of fantastic food, spacious seating, clean and elegant atmosphere. Thanks to Julia for the super service. Food came out fast too but dont know if that's because it wasn't busy.

Stopped in for a quick Lunch. Had an hour and made it there, ate, and back to work in less than 45 mins. Spring rolls were great, and Basil Beef was really good. Haven't had as good since Thai Palace closed.

Best Thai is Jax in my opinion. We go there almost every Friday for lunch and are ways treated with prompt and courteous service. The food has the most amazing flavors and portions are generous. Highly recommend.

If another customer's review is complaining he got diminishing service after repeatedly not tipping, I can't say I'd blame any server for that. Make your own dinner at home or visit a counter service place if you don't want to tip a server!
