Review Bj's Restaurant & Brewhouse - Jacksonville

As soon as we arrived we were seated in a wonderful corner booth with a amazing chandelier overhead. The waitress Cassandra gave us plenty of time to look through the menu and had some good suggestions on our meal. She was cheerful and understood what we needed. The food was tasty and lots of cheese on the pizza for the little one. Beer was cold and thirst quenching. Margaritas were salty and sweet. Hamburgers with avocado was yummy. Sliders didn’t disappoint and we asked for extra pickles with no worries. All in all great experience.

This was our first time visiting a BJ’s restaurant. As soon as we entered, we were seated. It took a few minutes, but a server came over and took our drink order. We ordered the siracha Brussel sprouts and they came out fairly quickly. I didn’t like the brussel sprouts as they were over baked and they were drowning in siracha. I could only taste siracha, they were so drowned that you couldn’t even taste the brussel sprouts. I was very unhappy with those. I then ordered the Jambalaya. The Jambalaya was delicious and made up for the appetizer. The restaurant was very clean and smelled amazing. The presentation of the food was very nice and smelled delicious. We will give it another try and try other dishes on the menu.

This is my first time here and we are super impressed with the food and the atmosphere. My friends were excited about his food being delicious. They said the fries was Bussin. I had pizza is the bomb spicy ❤️strawberry lemonade is made in-house and it has strawberry purée in it. Oh my God, our waitress her name is Juliet. She is an awesome waitress. She knows the restaurant that is so important to be able to answer questions when a customer has questions about food items she was able to give us recommendations Very friendly and she just knew her stuff and it just made the experience that much better we will be back again and again and again.

Great food. Nice variety on the menu. Rib eye steak was perfect.

Excellent quality of food consistent with most BJ's I've eaten at across the country. The lemon pepper wings came out quickly, piping hot, and cooked perfectly. Cherry chipotle salmon was moist, and the asparagus cooked just right. Nicole was an excellent server, polite and very attentive. I never once had to flag her down for anything. I would notice each time she walked by the table she would glance over to see if she needed to stop for anything. The other server working in the section with her, Shyanne, worked well with her, as she was the one who brought my food out, while Nicole was busy with a larger party. I will definitely come back again next time I'm in the area.

Kendall was amazing. The food was great. Only negative was hostess sat us at a 2 seater when my husband is clearly plussed size and needs a larger space. Kendall was cool about it and moved us. definitely will be back. Salmon was amazing, chicken sandwich huge and yummy, jambalaya was spicy and on point

We hosted our son and daughter in law's rehearsal dinner at this location. Marcus and his team were easy to work with and someone from the management team was always available to answer our questions as we prepared for our dinner. The staff did a great job of serving our family and friends as we celebrated our kid's big day! The food was delicious! The room we were seated in is attached to the restaurant so the music was a little louder than we would have liked, but overall we are very pleased with our choice for our special dinner.

Loved the food and service. Our waiter and the manager, Jeff, were amazing. The lighting in the restaurant and the restrooms were a little too dark for me, just in my opinion.

Most of the food was good and service excellent. My only issues were the honey siracha brussel sprouts didn't have enough sauce, I asked for a medium steak and was served one that was totally well done, the white cheddar mashed lacked flavor, and my Frozen Berry Colada was not fully blended like there were numerous ice cubes in it. I enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup and clam chowder.

Bjs is actually very good. I would say it is an equal competitor to Cheesecake Factory. The dishes are generously portioned with prices that won't hurt the pocket. Definitely a spot to visit! - Ansel Ponce Diama

Great atmosphere, great service (bar) this night. Menu covers a lot of different items, large draft tap selection including their own specials. One suggestion if you plant to order appetizer or wings with an entry. Unless you want them both served at same time order separate. Burger was tender, loved the Parmesan crusted roll.

I typically prefer Indy restaurants to chains, and this visit confirmed my preference. The food was fine, Cobb salad and spinach artichoke dip. The service was awful. We had to ask for silverware after our meal arrived, and find another server to bring our fussy toddler some milk. After the appetizer the server asked if we would like dessert???We had to remind her that we were still waiting on Salad. The table behind us seemed to be having issues with her as well.I found the overall atmosphere to be depressing as there was very little light.

When you come to BJ's, you must get their deep dish pizza. Our favorite, that we order every time, is the Italian Market pizza (see picture). On the menu it is a thin crust pizza but we order as a deep dish. It is delicious. We don't have a BJ'S where we live in GA so it is a treat each time we come to Jacksonville or Orlando. It is low on tomato sauce but that is exactly how we like our pizza. We have brought people here who ordered something else but tasted our pizza and made us come back the next night so they could get pizza again. They brew their own beer too and serve some craft beer from other nationally distributed breweries. My favorite BJ brew is the Harvest Hefeweizen (see picture). It has banana character like a German wheat beer. They always have a seasonal on tap too. The environment is nice. Not fancy but elegant. There are many prom people here tonight, so fancy enough for them (not sure if they are HS or college). Also be sure to install their phone app and get points for your order offers/coupons. We have used those discounts many times as we used to come to Orlando about once per month.

Delicious food. Quan was our server again on this visit and was just as wonderful as our last visit. What an asset he is to B.J.'s. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

I have to start out by saying this is the first review I've ever written just because I'm not usually into this kind of thing. However, my experiences dining at this particularly Bjs have led me to share with others. I've been to this location twice now. The food is average but nothing I feel needs complaining about. The STAFF and SERVICE is the absolute worst I've ever received. Both times I've had to wait and had several people seated before me although I was there first and they had no reservations. To make matters worse when I'm finally seated both times I have had the worst waitresses with horrible attitudes. The last time I was there I had a waitress who took out drink order after we'd been sitting for 20 minutes. When she came we gave her our drink and food order due to the long wait. About 30-40 minutes later a DIFFERENT waitress came with both our drinks and dinner at the same time. We also noticed a family of four sitting next to us who were seated long before us who also had our waitress and they still hadn't even gotten their orders taken.... This place is not worth your time or more money....

This was my first time eating at BJ's. We stopped here on our way out of town. Big place, nice decor. Spotty service. We told the hostess we had a party of 4, she sat us at a booth, gave us 4 menus and 3 table settings. I know, not a big deal, but curious about her oversight and then we had to have the waitress correct her oversight. Our entrees came out at different times, not a deal breaker, but again, shows lack of service. My party was fine with me digging into my salad before they got their meals. We also noticed the waitress taking orders out of order of tables coming in. Again, not a huge deal, I was relaxing with my salad and bottle of wine.
Now to the salad. I ordered the kale and brussels sprout salad w grilled chicken. The chicken was diced tiny tiny and the brussels sprouts were non existent. A member of my party told me they were "shaved" and thin which is why I couldnt see them. Hmmm. The dressing was sparse, but I expected that with a lower calorie salad, and some of the lettuce was brown.
My husband got a flat bread, which I sampled and it was delicious. So maybe this place is a beer n burger n pizza kind of place. But I was happy with a bottle of wine and salad. Im not overstuffed for the rest of our car trip and while not the best, I'll take BJs over typical interstate food any day.

Great Food Horrible Service. The food we ordered was great the deep dish pizza and mac & cheese and it was amazing. Our waiter was horrible... he ordering something for us and had to take it off the bill... we asked for water twice and had to get it from another waitress. He spent Most of the time talking to the other tables that had couples older than us. We would go again to give the service another shot

25 min wait wit reservation wow!. Party of nine with reservation still had to wait 25 min. However, the manager on duty Eric took good care of us after we complaint about the long wait. Terrance our server had a very pleasant personality and gave service with a smile while dealing with a group of very hungry people.Great food and atmosphere

Awful service, food, management, dirty restaurant.

Service: unfilled drinks, bad attitudes, slow food service

Food: Reminded me of Marie Calendar frozen food, out of a microwave, was luke warm, very processed, slop on a plate.

Management: Doesnt understand the points programs, how to use, misrepresents, not concern with long term client satisfaction.
Dirty restaurant: Food swept from tables to chairs and floor, dirty front door, floors, tables, sticky menus and s&p shakers. Lint covered napkins in need of replacement.

This place is turning into a Bennigans, Ruby Tuesday's, TGIFridays. Drinks first and if you must eat then food. In the beginning the food was great, now laziness has settled in and minimal standards are the best we can hope for.

The deep dish pizza was pretty good. Friendly server and staff.

If you are allergic to seafood I would advise you not to order any food. Went there for lunch today and the fries and chicken that we ordered was all cooked in the same grease as the seafood. Our waitress was very nice but overall the entire experience was very disappointing.

My chicken smelled like fish I said something to our server they said that I was the 6th person to say that today??????
The fish smelled very fishy like it was left out too long before cooking. Horrible

Long wait to be seated, Somewhat slow service. But good food. Wait Staff leaves a lot to be desired. Table was not completely clean and the seat in the booth had not been wiped down. It was a saturday night and they were quite busy when we arrived. We were told 15-20 mins. At just over 30 I approached the counter and BINGO the thing in my had started to vibrate. If I had known all I needed to do was walk up to the counter, I would have done that sooner. ;)
It was noisy. TVs showing sports where ever you looked but no closed captioning turned on. Terrible music coming over the audio system.
But the food was good. So if you can stand all the bad for the little bit of good, go for it. I can't say it was good enough to recommend it to anyone. If I'm going to drop $40 on dinner it has GOT to be more than just good. I needs to be approaching great and BJs just doesn't have it.
I'm a no vote.

Great food, hit or miss service. Have had some great experiences here at BJ's with some great food variety and it always came out tasting good. The times I have visited the service has been hit or miss, its either awesome or its slow. The food is always great though, and the menu is enormous. Great place to go if you have a party that has varying tastes, or diet restrictions. Great gluten free options on the menu.

Inexcusably poor service doesn't pair with very good food. Our appetizer was delivered along with our meal. We did not have silverware until our salads were room temperature and soggy. We were nearly finished eating when our server checked to make sure that we were served what we ordered. I asked for and (finally) was braught a steak knife for the last two bites of my steak. It was difficult to get any server's attention because they huddled at server stations. My steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly, but I had to cut it with a butter knife while I scanned for a server. My son waited for ketchup and ended up eating 1/4 of his room temperature meal since we got ketchup just before our check (the only thing delivered promptly) and our waiter stood beside me awaiting payment. The restaurant was very nice, the food was very well prepared but the service was comically bad.

Good mid-week dinner. Family decided to try out BJ's for the first time, after a family recommendation. We were all in the mood for burgers. At 5pm, our wait was miniscule. We sat in the dining area away from the bar, which was busy. We had no complaint with the noise, but I could see on a weekend or busier evening that the open ceiling would magnify the noise.
Our server, Quan, was immediate and attentive. He took special care of the little ones, escorting them to see the brewing tanks. After our orders, it was maybe 10 to 15 minute wait for a table full of burgers.
They were all hot and juicy, overflowing the plate with fixings and fries. The chili burger was definitely a fork and knife sandwich, while the bacon cheese burgers could barely be contained in the bun. None of us could finish them all. Best of all, a dinner for four (with kids) only came up to $40. Money well spent, and we will be returning to try out the other offerings on the expansive menu. The deep dish pizzas coming out of the kitchen looked especially appetizing.

Have yet to be impressed. Tried it twice now. Food okay; but not exciting enough to recommend. On second visit we were sat down to dirty chairs and dirty table napkins. Who sets a table with stained napkins?

Slow service good food. We arrived and were seated immediately which was cool. Upon being seated, we were waited on by someone who said out waitress was occupied and would see us shortly. At least two different people waited on us until she arrived. It was a good while until we got our orders taken and refills. After getting our food, my brother's order was wrong and the coleslaw wasn't good according to my Mother. Besides all of this the food was good and I left satisfied. I would still go back as I like their menu.

Fantastic deep dish pizza, and fantastic house beer. Service was great too.

No Service. Arrived earlier than the usual Friday night crowd. Hostess attempted to seat us at a two top wedged in the corner. The problem with that was the table next to it was occupied with a gap between the tables of about two inches. We asked to be seated in a different seat. The hostess complied and sat us at a booth just across from the original table. We sat at the booth for fifteen minutes and were never spoken to by a server. As we left the greeter said thank you and have a nice night. So we did, somewhere else.

Been there twice and have had slow service and then slow followed by power outage. We where asked if we wanted to stay - they even mentioned that some of the meals where complete, so we decided to stay. The completed meals did not have fries and others where a little under cooked, then we where still charged full price for incomplete meals. Not real good experiences
