Wow! Everything was delicious! The catfish portions were big and the deep fried Turkey leg special was phenomenal. I will definitely eat here again when I come to visit North Carolina. Came to Jacksonville, NC for a retirement ceremony; our family decided to eat out afterwards. We found this gem. Wonderful atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the price is affordable. I had the shrimp and grits and it was amazing. The banana pudding cookie was everything. I highly recommend this
Surprisingly very busy on a Thursday brunch, however, serve is fast. Utensils are plastic spoons, forks, and knives. Drinks comes in plastic to-go cups. However, the food are very good! The chicken was kind of the dry side but the syrup helped it. The shrimp and grits is very good! Highly recommend
Got the shrimp and grits and biscuits and gravy, and both were very good. The gravy on the biscuits was thick and rich and the biscuit was nice and fluffy. The only negatives were the shrimp were a bit small. And could have done without the religious Jesus music in background.
This is the best southern food I've had since I moved here 6 years ago. The atmosphere was like they invited you into their home for a meal. I had the shrimp and grits. It was sooooo good. My husband had the biscuits and gravy and he enjoyed it very much.
