My husband and I go here at least twice a month and we have never had a bad experience! This is the best sushi place in Jacksonville and surrounding areas. You can’t go wrong ordering anything from the menu. We love practically all the sushi rolls, hibachi, and ramen. The service is also amazing everytime!

Had a very nice waitress who helped me decide from their large sushi menu. Very cute inside decor that you can tell they put a little thought into...would be a nice semi-casual date dinner.
The crispy eggplant app was very good. Was recommended the Angry Bird roll (subbed seaweed for the normal soy paper wrap) and then I also got the Futo Maki roll for some variety. All very good!

The food and service was absolutely amazing! Portion size is great! Our server Jay-R was super sweet and attentive. She really made our daughter's birthday even better by bringing her a fried cheesecake at the end of our meal, and singing happy birthday to her! Definitely recommend 👌🏻

Wonderful food, pretty good service (I was in rush hour so I understand) and a great area where it's located. Everything is made so fresh and the service is wonderful. Definitely a recommended place to go to.

Some of the best sushi I've had in a long time. Very well presented and friendly staff.

It has been a long time since I’ve posted a review about this place. In the many years I’ve been to this place not only it’s gotten better but it got bigger too. When it comes to my options of sushi in this town this is my #1 choice. The food is amazing!!

In town for work and wanted Asian food. Had a pretty good rating. Had the miso soup, beef negimaki, spicy scallop roll and a hibachi plate. Food was delicious and the portions generous. Service was excellent. Had slight reservations being in a strip mall but they were unfounded. The beef negimaki was so tender. The chicken and steak hibachi was cooked perfectly. 10/10 would do again.

First off loved the sushi it was the best thing in my opinion here. The hibachi was on the less desirable side. Much better at a place where they cook it in front of you. Honey walnut chicken was fabulous very huge. It's a tiny place on the inside but if your a sushi fan I would recommend them.

If you’re looking for something amazing and new to try for dinner we just went to Saki Asian Fusion and it was delicious! We’re definitely our taking family here when they visit North Carolina because it’s absolutely beautiful with a tranquil atmosphere on the inside. Overall a very clean and new environment. The food was delicious and it was a great experience overall! It’s the best place we’ve gone out to dinner in Jacksonville so far. The food came out fast and our waiter was very kind and helpful since it’s the first time we’ve even had sushi so I definitely recommend this restaurant for sushi first timers or even foodies in general. It will be hard not to come back weekly. Make sure you try the fried ice cream for dessert which is melt in your mouth good as well!

First, the hostess was so sweet, she was very kind to my three small daughters when we came in and left the restaurant. This place is so cute, clean and nice atmosphere. We had the gyoza, calamari, a few of the special sushi rolls and chicken fried rice; ALL of it was delicious! We especially like that you can get other items besides sushi (fried rice, “traditional” Chinese restaurant menu items, etc) If you visit here, you’ll find your new favorite sushi spot!

It has been a few years since I have been here and I wanted to try it again. The interior is really nice and the server was very friendly. I could tell that sushi rolls are their specialty as the ones that were getting dropped off around me looked delicious. I ordered the sashimi bento box. It came with 2 pieces of 4 types of fish, 3 Shumai, steamed rice, and a cali roll. I could tell the cali rolls were premade for the bentos because it was alittle hard. The salmon was not as good as I would expect but the tuna was delicious. The Shumai and sauce were also very good. Miso was decent and the rice was average. I like this place but I do not see 5 stars. Across the street is a place that exceeds all sashimi expectations. That being said, this is a great spot though.

We tried Sake for the first time yesterday, very impressed. First thing was the booths had butt cushions which made it comfortable. Our waitress was very nice, and kept checking on us. Every roll and sashimi were perfect. One kid got the shrimp teriyaki kids meal shown in pic, huge shrimp. We got the fried banana with ice cream too. I shouldn't have shared it. Delish.
Do not take a "mint" candy on the way out. Not mint. Maybe apple cider vinegar flavor.

I am very picky when it comes to sushi because you can get very sick off of bad sushi. Sake is one of the best sushi places I have ever eaten! This is our 'go to' sushi place in the area. My son loves this place and that's saying a lot for a kid. The wait staff is awesome, their sushi is very fresh, and they're always willing to offer a suggestion. My husband loves their California rolls & Bugogi bowls, my son loves their Sushi Philadelphia rolls and I love their nigeri. I highly recommend this place!

The food here was great the atmosphere was fantastic waitress was wonderful and they were very prompt at serving us our food and drinks I really enjoyed the evening there

My friends and I enjoyed dinner at this spot. Their service was awesome. I tried the BMW roll which exceeded my expectations. It's a good place for small groups.
Kimberly Nyman
Great service. The food was really good and generous portions. Good selection of sushi and a full menu. The poké bowl and yellowtail are recommended. Personally, I love tempura and this place did a fantastic job with theirs.
*Social distancing and masks were followed very well.

$50 and two people got full of some of the best sushi in Eastern North Carolina. The house sake is amazing! This place is worth every extra mile you have to go to get there.
If you don't like this place, fight me.
Mia
Have eaten here several times- Friendly service and tasty food. Server made suggestions. Will return.

Great food. Awesome lunch menu. Friends and I eat here regularly. Great atmosphere , friendly staff. Miso soup and sushi roll is the way to go or bento box. Yum

Best sushi. My favorite restaurant in the area. the service is fast, the food is incredible. I would eat here every day if I could.
Lindsay Landers
Our favorite spot!!! I love this place and the owner is so nice. We usually order anywhere from 4-6 rolls and its not cheap. However you get what you pay for..."sooo good" (in my best Asian accent)

Loooove this place. The food is delicious and the people are very nice and friendly.
Elizabeth
Small quaint restaurant. I love the atmosphere! The staff is knowledgable, professional and all around great! Definetly recommend!!
Rita
Best sushi in the area w/wonderful service to top it off! Ask for Amanda. She was very attentive and suggested many rolls that were not on the menu, based on what we told her we liked. This girl knows her sushi and there was not one piece left on anyone's plate! We try a new roll every time we go in. If you want a new favorite spot this is it!
Paul
Great small sushi place for dates. I wish the place was a bit bigger but that won't stop me from going!
Kyle Durfee
Have been here several times and really enjoy the food! However the last time we at there the service was HORRIBLE! Never had full drinks. Waitress forgot two different items we ordered and had to remind her on both. Not only that but said she was sick to "justify" not something I want to hear from the person serving us our food...
Meru
Yum!. I've been twice and will be back again and again! Very good sushi and sashimi and the staff is very friendly. This is a small place so come during off times.

If you like spicy - ask your waiter for the old menu (they had some great spicy stuff they still make but don't list on the new menu).

Best sushi in the area!
Natalie
Best sushi in Jville! Service is always fast and efficient. It is tight quarters and they keep it moving smoothly.

Great food. Friendly service. Was really busy but everything was still on point. We will definitely return!

It's all in the name.... Asian food American style... Just returned from being overseas for 7.5 years and was missing some sushi. Found a great place in Wilmington (Blue Asia) but didn't feel like the drive so I figured it was time to check this place out. I alway go to a place a minimum of three times before I submit a review. The first time... the waitress (Asian young lady) was not "american" polite but typical "Asian" courtesy. Yellow Dragon & Ocean rolls recommendations were fine...American Sushi and Spicy Maki were fine as well....house salad dressing was (& looked) gross plus miso soup was not the greatest... skip those. Second time for lunch, much better experience, Amber was our waitress... excellent... Bento boxes were fine; nice size portions...Rice just a tad dry/hard. Third time for dinner, again Amber was our waitress very knowledgable, helpful, polite, attentive, etc. there's stuff that's not on the menu! Food still doesn't top Blue Asia but for J'ville it's pretty decent... just ask for Amber as your waitress you'll have a much better experience.

Use to be one of the best sushi place in Jacksonville in my opinion, but there going down hill fast The food is still Great best sushi in Jacksonville but the service for a lack of better words sucks. When they fist opened this place was happening great service but with there popularity they hired new servers and they are less then polite & curteous. If the servers don't get it together soon I feel and think that they won't last much longer.

Great sushi!!. Eat at "Sake" with my wife when ever when can get time away from the kids.
Fantastic suchi. Great variety, and reasonably priced. Small and cozy atmosphere makes it a comfortable eating experience.

Love this place!! Food is always amazing. Best sushi place in jacksonville
Valerie Morin Torres
Good Sushi. The sushi was excellent!!! The Beef Teriyaki not so good. The waitress did not even ask how I wanted my beef cooked. The teriyaki sauce was very bland. I will be back for the sushi only.
Nom
Cute place, great service but the food is terrible. My husband and I went for lunch one day and we both ordered the beef teriyaki bento box. The vegetables and sushi made me gag, the beef was tough and the teriyaki sauce on it was definitely from a bottle. I'm not saying that Chinese (owners) and Mexican (cooks) can't make Japanese food, but this was probably the most pathetic attempt at the cuisine ever. Do yourself a favor, don't waste your money here.

Another gem. This is also a hidden gem, along Western. I dont really want to brag about it, bc I dont want to many ppl to find out about it and then I have to wait to be seated, or get bad service....This is my sons favorite spot (he is 10) and my husbands too. We love everything we get, the sushi is definetly the best in Jacksonville or even anywhere!!
Courtney
Best sushi in town!. I moved here from Las Vegas, where it was easy to find high quality, amazing sushi. Sake is delicious! I think I've only had one roll I didn't like. And that was just because of preference. This is also the only place I have ordered and entree from and actually liked it. I ordered the General Tso's chicken for lunch, along with a small roll. I couldn't even finish the chicken! IT WAS SO GOOD. Not the crappy chicken you get from awful chinese take out.. but just.. amazing! Kind of like PF Changs, but way better. I've never had any of the waitresses be rude or anything, majority of them are Asian and you can hardly understand them, but they were always so nice to me. My fiance and I eat here at least three times a month, if not more. It's also not too expensive. We usually get two rolls, a big one and a small one, and I'll get a seaweed salad, and we've never paid more than $40. I HIGHLY recommend this place! **A tip- If you plan on going during the weekend, get there around 5 or 530. At 6 it fills up and you'll be waiting for a table. Its a small place!

I was working in town from Charlotte, where there are a lot of good sushi places, and found this gem! I travel and unfortunately eat a lot of mediocre sushi, but this place was amazing! Very fresh and hip!!
Miranda
This place is great!! Nothing will ever be as good as home but this place comes really close!! Never had anything I haven't loved. Service is great!

Best Place in jacksonville! Fresh daily.

Service is usually pretty sucky but the food is good. Sushi is expensive but delicious.
David MacNeil
Found out about this place through urban soon and it is the best I've ever had... Much better than shogun
Christopher Lamb
This place is amazing. It's a little hope in the wall joint but the food is so good. It has a small susyhi bar but a huge menu. It's the most fresh I've ever had. Will go back a lot.
Nanners
This is by far the best sushi in Jacksonville. the food is incredible and the service is wonderful. my one complaint is it is a little pricey, but well worth it. give it a try it is well worth it.
VegLynz
Argumentative waitress, bad food, will never go back.. In all honesty, it was probably our waitress that ruined my experience. After explaining to her that I am a vegetarian, she tried to tell me (and argue with me) that imitation crab meat was vegetarian friendly because it's "imitation", then she tried to tell me that there was no fish in the miso soup... nothing was going to taste good to me at this point, but even my husband didn't like his meal. The hot tea tasted like dish water and the ginger salad dressing tasted like it was way beyond its expiration date. I chose this place because it had great reviews; we should have just stuck with our favorite, Yakitori House.
Trackersgirl
Really good but fairly pricy

Bland and bad service. The waitress was rude and the food was bland, nothing special.
Stefi C
Dirty and unsanitary. I went in and ordered some rollls. The waitress was unpolite and I saw the chef scratch hiself. I left right away. I wont be returning
Miranda
My husband and I go here all the time. Quality food and service. Very clean. We have never ordered anything we didn't like. The lychee sake martini is great!!! My fav is the sexy roll!
Eric Schumacher
Excellent food. Great service. Yum yum was the best.

Mr. Food. It surprises me to find a such quality place to eat in Jacksonville, now I find my self 2-3 times a week here. Great food, fast service, friendly staff. You should try it out here, you won't be dispointed. Go during the week, on the weekend it's always busy.
Chris
Ended up here via UrbanSpoon iPhone app. The outside looked like a hole in the wall but the inside was very clean and well kept. The decor was great. Couple drawbacks: only 2 hi chairs (which were both in use when we arrived), not a lot of choices on menu and I thought they were over priced. The food was outstanding though.
Teresa
The best sushi I've had since moving to the East Coast. The yummy yummy roll was delish!!!
