Absolutely the best Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles I've ever had. I am a regular and it's consistent every time we go there. Fabulous to say the least. If you're looking for great food in Jacksonville this is the spot.
Food is great!. The restaurant is sort of dark and gloomy but my husband had the fried duck and I had the shrimp lo mein and it was delicious! Really good Thai food!
Incredible Thai food...especially considering its in NC. Curry is fantastic as well as the pad Thai, mango sticky rice and Thai tea. Extremely nice staff, my favorite restaurant in jax for over 2 years. Authentic Thai.
This place is amazingly awesome!!! I'm so happy we came by! Ordered sprimg rolls, then the Pad Thai& Pad See Ew. Followed by mango w sticky rice. Everything was perfect! They also have this little button on the table u can press if u need anything further. I highly recommend!!
One word..... PHENOMENAL!!! must try, won't regret it!
They have really really good egg rolls and not greasy :) and I tried the pad Thai FRO the first time and it was so good
I didn't know I'd love Thai food.. Long story short...we hosted an exchanged student last year. She was from Thailand, so I decided to try out Old Siam. She loved it! I had never eaten Thai food until last year. I love their tom yum gai soup. They served it in a bowl with a little gel fire that kept it warm. You'd just have to see it. From the outside I would have never guessed how good it was inside. Try it sometime.
Awesome place to try if you've never had Thai before. They'll even make it spicy for you if your up to it.
Very good thai food. Will likely return.
My friend and I had lunch here last week, and it was delicious. All the food came out hot and full of flavors. The food was also put in cute little presentable plates that made the experience that much more pleasant.
The only reason I did not give it a 5-star is because, on the outside, the building looks questionable. This is one of those hole-in-the-wall places that on the outside you would easily pass but once inside the atmosphere is friendly and clean. It just needs some updates and maybe fresh paint, and the whole place would look as good as new.
This place is worth a try if you're an adventurous type and enjoy good Thai/Asian food.
Hidden Gem ! Before you hit up a chain restaurant on Western Blvd, Eat here !
My husband and I use to go to this restaurant in 2010 years ago and the 2 times our family has been stationed here. We are back this week due to training and so happy to be able to eat here again. Food is amazing and full of flavor. The service is personal, our waitress was the sweetest lady. I am over chain restaurants and flavorless food. I highly recommend chicken pad Thai, Thai tea and Chicken Satay!
Arrived on a late afternoon one Saturday. I have never eaten here and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. The steamed fish was perfection while the vegetable soup was hearty with taste. The service was excellent. Be prepared to read through the menu as it is quite extensive. I loved the decor and summary about the chef. This was a wonderful dining experience to end my day.
This place was absolutely amazing!!! From the atmosphere to the service to the food! My only issue is the price. Asian food shouldn’t be that expensive. If price is not your concern, bon appetite!!!
First of all, I had a yummy meal and fantastic service. Thai cuisine is my favorite food and I’ve dined in Thailand many times.
The dining room is a little dated…. Kinda crusty feel. Killed two bugs before we ordered.
Couldn’t find drinks in the menu but I usually prefer water anyway.
We ordered 2 different soups and they were really great although I felt missing a little tang I’m used to from Thai soups.
The Penang curry was a decent portion although lacking in Thai flavors (lime leaf, lemongrass, Thai basil). It tasted good but not authentic.
The squid salad was a mistake to order, iceberg lettuce with chewy squid.
The prices were a bit high for only ordering 1 entree, a side and 2 small soups (~$50).
This is a popular restaurant lots of people seem to love but if you’re craving really authentic Thai flavors I’m not certain they can be found here.
So I've been sleeping on this restaurant for almost two years, my mistake. Absolutely loved the Mai Tai chef special with an extra side of rice! I will be back, I can easily see this as a new favorite stop for me and my family.
Finally non-chain dining in Jacksonville!! Want a break from the over processed food scene here? We found this very tasty and authentic owner operated Thai food restaurant. Lots of traditional and popular dishes, no msg, with fresh ingredients & mouth-watering flavors. Don’t miss this place.
My family and I have been here many times. Our favorite dishes are the basil duck, pad Thai and fried rice. The food is very delicious. Please be patient when you go there as the food is cooked to order. It may take longer than you may be use to but it is well worth the wait.
One of the best restaurants in the greater-Jacksonville area!
I’m so thankful Old Siam has survived the past few years! The best Thai food I’ve had anywhere, including Southeast Asia!
Cannot wait to eat here again soon!
Pay attention to the "Call/Order Button" on the table!! Wait staff is very attentive. Always great food presentation. Some of the food was good but missing flavor. We had the Seafood Fried Rice which was spot on. The "Blanked" shrimp appetizer and fish cakes were ok the dipping sauces were very good. Beef Pepper Steak was missing flavor. Panang Curry was overly sweet. Jasmine rice was perfect. I tried these new dishes but will go back to my old stand by. I prefer ordering the Chicken Satay, the Spring rolls and the Green Curry.
