Hickory House Restaurant

Texas Roadhouse used to be our favorite steak place. We found Hickory House about a year ago and we have been going there twice a month for a great steak dinner. We've dealt with Blake and Mike several times. Very professional, friendly, and very polite. The other members of the staff that have helped us in the past have also been very friendly, professional, and polite. Their steaks are the best. Very savory and cook exactly the way you request. We were in the mood for steak and went back to our former favorite place because it was a day that Hickory House was closed and it just was good, but not great. Good prices and great food. Well done Hickory House.

The food was good but it's a small place. It was hard to accommodate a party of 6, but they were able to do it after just a short wait. Employees were all very friendly, and the portions were generous. Our server was pleasant and kept the coffee cups filled. The grits were outstanding, with a delicious flavor that didn't need anything added. We left full and happy. Kids meal had a giant portion, and omelets are big enough to split.

Had their hickory breakfast. Bacon and sausage was outstanding taste. Little linger cook time on bacon to get crispness would of been better for me but that’s something I should of asked for. The gravy was great. The food was really good. Service was great. This is in Jackson Missouri just north of Cape Girardeau.
