Good Catfish, No View. With a name like Falls View you would, reasonably, think that you could view the falls. Well, not really. The restaurant is near High Falls but there is absolutely no view. The interior is one high-ceilinged room with some side rooms. It all feels very institutional.
With a place like this it is best to stick with what they do best—frying. So we had their fried whole catfish, fried catfish filets and fried shrimp. All were very good. We thought that the whole catfish was a little sweeter and moister than the filets, but they are more work. The cheese grits were quite nice. The pickle plate was good. The coleslaw was the type bought in huge buckets from the restaurant supply store. It is better to go with the salad.
Service is pleasant. Unfortunately, cleanliness is not impressive. We usually don’t judge this kind of Roadfood restaurant on cleanliness, but this place should have been better. The bathrooms were in huge need of a cleaning and remodeling.
Fried catfish is a nice occasional treat and this is as good as any other I’ve had. But I wouldn’t go much out of my way to return.
They actually do have the best fried catfish filets we have ever eaten! Stumbled across this surprisingly great place to eat while camping at High Falls State Park. Don't let it's outdated exterior or interior turn you away.

The most awesome Fried whole Catfish in the Atlanta area. The Strawberry Shortcake takes the cake! LOL
Well worth the drive
Great family place. Husband ordered the catfish and loved it. I had grilled popcorn shrimp and onion rings. The batter on the onion rings was light so you could taste the onion and not just batter. Coleslaw was delicious, hush puppies yummy and the homemade strawberry shortcake was the perfect way to end the meal. This is a family run restaurant and you can tell they truly appreciate their customers. Service was great and everyone was so friendly. Very very casual atmosphere. We arrived around 4:45/5:00pm Friday and just beat the rush. They were BUSY by the time was finished our meal and left. This is a favorite with locals. We will definitely be back.
Staff are super friendly, quick and efficient. The food was great and at a good price. I had the popcorn shrimp with baked potato, which was delicious! Others had shrimp, mozzarella sticks, chopped steak with onion gravy. Everyone responded that their meal was delicious! We'll gladly return!
My wife and I went to this restaurant for her birthday. Amanda was our server. She is fun, down to earth, and an attentive server. We shared a fried pickle appetizer and a seafood platter including fish, shrimp, scallops, deviled crab, and hush puppies. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be back.
