Picasso Bistro & Pizzeria

My Sister and I spent the night in Jackson, on the way to Ohio. We visited the Bistro on 11/15/20. The Shrimp appetizer was excellent. The Pizza was a cut above other eateries. We ordered a thin crust 5 topping Pizza. The atmosphere was good, with the bar section and the restaurant separated by a wall. Our Waitress, Ivy was friendly, attentive and is an asset to the business. We highly recommend Picasso Bistro & Pizzeria.

We ordered our pizza to go but the folks inside and out seemed to be enjoying themselves. Our quest was the cauliflower crust. We were NOT disappointed! It was great! And a large variety of toppings - several suggested groupings or build your own. Along with a personalized one, we enjoyed the California veggie, the portobello mushroom, and the butcher block (meat! ). They were all great!

I moved to Jackson a few years ago. I came from a place with a great restaurant scene, and it’s tough to get me to eat at a chain. So I’ve been to Picasso’s a number of times and I’ve just never been thrilled with my experience. The food is consistent. When I first moved here, something about the salmon blt blew me away; they use a caper spread that I really like. I also really love getting ghost pepper cheese pizza! It’s nice they have wine night in the middle of the week as well. But when I consider going to Picasso’s, it’s the guys they usually have behind the bar who deter me. They are simply not enjoyable to be around and that’s what keeps me from going. One of them actually kinda spoiled my birthday dinner last year. Picasso’s has a beautiful bar and I like sitting there. This weekend, I met a friend for dinner who really wanted to go, and was surprised to see the girls behind the bar. They were so sweet, and social, and really cared about our experience. They have restored my feelings regarding Picasso’s and I’d love to see them behind the bar more often. I have never left a review because I haven’t felt like I could leave a great one. These girls changed that!
