This place is the definition of mom and pop home cooking. The gumbo was hot, fresh, and delicious. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff is great. Super friendly and they take pride in their food. We will come here again for sure.

The 3 times I’ve tried to dine here it was closed. Which was contrary to the advertised operation hours. The most recent visit the automated phone system told me to order online because they were not accepting call in orders. I received confirmation that said my order was being prepared. I arrived

Hands down the best Cajun food in the Jackson area. I was born and raised in New Orleans and have sorely missed the flavors that Gumbo Girl delivers. There are others that come close, but this is the best Cajun restaurant to come to Jackson since I’ve been here.
