We have a rather sizeable Nepali population of students where I work at and they recommended that the best way to sample their food would be to get an order of chicken momos. Every guide and restaurant book recommended Lhasa Tibetan and they didn't fail my wife and I-now we're hopelessly hooked! Think of a heartier chinese soup dumpling with a chili sauce that is 3 times as hot!

The food is delicious. Please leave yourself with enough time to wait. It's a small place so wait will be longer but it is worth the wait. All CASH only!

This goes to the beautiful cooks that share their time and life behind in the kitchen. Thank you for our meal. It was really good. Prices are extremly cheap. Hopefully someone can invest on them and make it better.

The best family-run business with the friendliest owner and delicious food! We loved everything we ordered and was even given tea samples! It was the first time we had Tibetan dishes, and we will definitely be back for more. They even took the time to explain the dishes and made our experience even better. Special thanks to the chef-owner!

We love the steamed and fried chicken momos from here. The chilly sauce with it, hits the right spot. The service is a little slow as they are understaffed.

The food was good but can definitely be better The lamb and beef salted were just spicy and lacking salt. The momo soup and the beef soup were good but felt like also lacking some depth in the broth. The fried and steamed momo were perfect.

The dumplings took me from earth to an ethereal plane of pure bliss. I wish I could come here on a regular basis. Absolutely 10/10 recommend. Welcoming staff, great service, and they also have a gender neutral bathroom.

One of the great place to come and eat and try tibetan food! The ambience, service, value of money 5* the dry noodle was served little burned and tasted bad, 4* however they substituted! Great service. Overall great environment to dine in and enjoy the tibetan cuisine. Loved ginger lemon honey tea, and dumplings especially!! And lapping! Must come and visit. Recommend highly.

We tried several different Momos and shared with the table. Our favorites were the beef and the potato. My youngest had the dumpling and soup and loved it. The service was great. The young lady was helping every table and did an amazing job. Great small restaurant with great food and prices.

The shabaleb were a delicious surprise! They’re almost like fried soup dumplings with how much juice was inside. Eat them carefully or you’ll spill the liquid all over yourself. The bodja is an interesting experience everyone should try at least once—I personally liked it. The momos are strongly flavored with chive, served with a spicy sauce on the side. Amazingly cheap for the quality and quantity of food.

We got two kinds of momos: fried beef and steamed chicken. Both are good but I personally prefer the steamed ones. They are very filling actually. Accepts card.

Best Tibetan food I’ve found in the city so far. Thenthuk was comforting and fresh, the Shabaleb were absolutely amazing (gotta try them!), and the Momos were great as well. Service was impressive and efficient, especially considering the one waitress serving the entire restaurant. Everything was very reasonably priced as well.

My first experience with Tibetan food. We ordered the spicy lamb ribs and the beef dumplings. The ribs were super tasty and were spicy but not too spicy. The dumplings were ok, not bad. It seems like they had put celery inside which gave it an odd taste. However, they do offer a beef with chive dumpling which probably would have tasted better. There's also this spicy sauce they have on the side which is good on everything! Will probably come back next time I'm in NYC

Amazing dumplings - The beef and chive are some of the best I've had. Destination worthy! Will return.

This place caters to "their own" because there seems to be an unwritten rule that you seat yourself. There is no overeager hostess waiting to seat you. They took another table's order before me, so I had to flag them down, letting them know that I am ready. Momos here are surprisingly good! I had momos one other time, from a food truck, they were awful, dense, no flavor, basically inedible, which kept me away from trying momos and Tibetan food for many years. Back to these delicious momos. I got the beef & chives (steamed) and the chicken (fried). Steamed are a close cousin to "Chinese dumplings" that everyone knows. The fried was good too. It was nice to have both. Someone with a more "Chinese palette" would probably enjoy the steamed more. The lamb ribs chili was good, if you don't mind eating meat off a bone. At times, the meat was a bit dry, but it had good flavor. The noodle soups were okay. I think it's better to double up on the momos and meats, forget the noodle soups.

Excellent Momo! I preferred the steamed. The fried were more doughy. The chicken was excellent and the beef and chive were very good as well, with a high proportion of chive.

Food was good, quick, and unique. Maybe it's indicative of the cuisine, but some of the dishes are a bit more spartan than the menu leads one to believe. Got a lamb noodle soup that only had bones with a couple nibbles or meat (but plenty of delicious veggies and dumplings).
