Food was better and service as well. But they billed 18% tips without asking me!
Must try restaurant but a bit costly overall.

Great place, great food, great service! Five stars! Came in on a Tuesday night and it wasn't too crowded. Food came out hot and fast. Service was friendly and on point.

One of the best Indian food restaurant I ever experienced in the last 20 plus years. Now they have a new building which has very fancy atmosphere, owner is a very nice person. Very family style service. We can trust the food 100 percent. God Bless

Very good good, and outstandingly exceptional service. Food was ready VERY quickly, server walked us through his recommendations in detail (all were great) and also lent us 2 chargers for our dying phones during the meal. Highly recommend the tikka platter and the daal as go-to dishes and of course the mango lassi must not be missed! This is a formidable competitor to Angel.

Everything was a bit too salty and lacked a little flavor. The servers were extremely nice.
The mango lassi was the star of the show. Perfectly sweet, tangy and thick. The chicken masala and garlic nann were good and it comes with rice.
The samosas were so bland and big. Tasted like I was eating something crispy with mashed potatoes inside. The tandoori chicken was a bit too dry.

my favorite place to go for delicious food, amazing service, and a friendly atmosphere. it’s a queens institution. the chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, garlic naan, samosas, and goat curry were all incredible !

They have moved to a new location across the street from their previous one. The place is clean, with lots of room and nice decor and ambience. The food was good with decent portions and price. We enjoyed our visit here and would recommend it to anyone who wants to try authentic Indian food. I loved that they served the achari mushroom and tandoori platter as a sizzler. There is something just amazing about sizzler. The achari mushroom and bhendi fry are must try! We also ordered samosa, bhajias, Palak paneer, vegetable biryani, kulcha, lacha Paratha. Everything was good. They start you off with Masala papad which is on the house.

It’s hard to go wrong with all the options in Jackson heights, so we decided to check out Jackson diner on a whim. The name threw us off a bit but they definitely are an Indian restaurant!
We were seated right away and ordered a mango lassi, samosa chaat, chicken lajawab, garlic naan, and gulab jamun for dessert.
The mango lassi was delicious! It was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, and very refreshing. The samosa chaat was good too. I wish they gave two samosas instead of one to balance out all the channa, but still good regardless. Finally for the entree the chicken lajawab was delicious. It paired well with the garlic naan. We had enough to pack and take back for leftovers too. Finally we finished our meal with gulab jamun for dessert. It tasted like any restaurant gulab jamun, so no complaints here. It was served warm.
Overall it was a great lunch. Service was good and the employees were nice and very helpful. I like that there is a sink outside of the bathrooms as well for people that only need to wash their hands after the meal.

Wow this is really awesome Indian. I didn't get to try the tikka masala which is usually my favorite but I tried their sampler appetizer, the mixed grill, the saag with chicken, Naan basket and chili Paneer. The saag was the best I ever had ever! I'm not super big into this dish but it was worth coming back for here. The naans were awesome and their tandoori chicken was great. My partner really likes spicy food and thought their highest spice was too tame. The Vindaloo didn't look very thick but he said it was tasty. The samosas were also very good and fried fish was Outstanding. They moved across the street to a smaller location but the place looks lovely and clean. Def will be back.
