The Heights serve excellent seafood. They also have an extensive wine selection. We had the salmon collar with fried clams (the special for the day) and halibut (the fish of the day) for dinner. They didn't disappoint. There were chunky amounts of very fresh salmon in the salmon collar. The halibut was also very good. The dessert recommendations of Lava Chocolate Soufflé and the Heights Signature Chocolate Cake by Victoria, our very attentive and friendly server, hit all the right spots.

My husband and I have gone to the heights several times and it is our absolute favorite restaurant!! We always come back excited to try one of the specials for the night, they are phenomenal!! The entree and its accompaniments are cooked perfectly and thoughtfully orchestrated to be the best taste profile and pairings for the dish. We love how much love and thought is put into the food, it really shows! All staff are so kind and helpful as well as the chef who was so nice and personable to converse with us one evening. The price is worth everything you get including the amazing bread and a choice of salad with the already incredible entrees. Not to mention the portions are very generous and we always leave stuffed and happy!!

The best fine dining experience in Ithaca which I would do once in my life during my study. Definitely very pricey but worth the dishes they offer to you. The classic Caesar salad was fresh and scrumptious, I ordered Seafood Bouillabaisse & Gnocchi which was creamy with flavorful toppings to my liking, and my buddies got steak special. The portion was huge for my preference but I managed to (almost I think) finished them out. Overall, amazing experience :)

I’m not big on steak or seafood, which The Heights always offers in abundance with their specials… but the vegetarian entree (though usually only one) is always very good. Great presentation for whatever you order. Cocktails are always spot on and service too. Nice place to come for a special occasion. Lava cake is delish, and chocolate is usually not my first choice for a dessert… but it is here.

Usually the best food in Ithaca, but not the most consistent. Nice plating. Would strongly recommend getting the Ahi tuna steak special if they have it - it's their best dish.

Came here for a wedding rehearsal dinner and the back room is large enough to fit our party of ~25 people with room to spare. Food was a selection from a prix fine menu and was delicious. The highlight was the skirt steak which was perfectly cooked medium rare and super tender. Large portion sizes as well.

Best fine dining experience you can get in Ithaca. The food menu and wine menu are equally good. They have really great seafood options. I've visited the place twice and my experience was equally good on both my visits. I would definitely suggest their grilled octopus for starters. I really like how they pay attention to details on each plate. All their dishes look stunning and taste well at the same time. A perfect place for a date night.

Wonderful dinner & our waiter was fantastic! Delicious Pork belly appetizer, house salad was delicious and both our meals were great. My husband got the pork chops and I got the salmon. Would highly recommend.

The Heights is hands down one of the best tucked away restaurants in Ithaca. In my opinion the menu is for a refined palate, one that can appreciate a grand bouquet of flavors offered on many of the menu items. Strongly suggest this restaurant as a contender if you are in the area.

After living and eating in Ithaca for years, we finally tried the Heights at work event for my husband. It was a lovely experience with great service and some delicious parts of the meal (the octopus appetizer). My big complaint however is they try to do too much with their flavors and food. My deliciously-cooked steak came with a strawberry mole, tsatziki sauce, and hummus. My husband's lamb dish was tender and delicious, but drowning in the sauce. There's no need to try to pack so many different flavors when the food itself is so good!

Best food in Ithaca! I grew up in Ithaca and moved away and have traveled the world and recently stumbled in on this restaurant on a visit home. This is my favorite restaurant, everything we ordered was amazing.

My absolute favorite restaurant in the Ithaca area! Tonight we celebrated my parents 64th anniversary. Our server Jamie was friendly, helpful, and wonderful. The food as always fresh, tasty and perfectly unique. Make it your go to spot when you can.

One of less than a handful of restaurants in Ithaca that are actually good. Very expensive but you get what you pay for as this was probably the best dinner and drinks I've had in Ithaca. The beans that came with the steak do taste like they came straight out of a can, however, and I wish they would change it out for something more appropriate.

I have never expected such a delicious dinner at Ithaca. Absolutely you should visit the restaurant. The meat are well cooked and soft, tasting like cloud. The chief was so specialized at mixing different food together but keeping the taste like a symphony. Just mention an example, the grilled octopus was side with a grape. But they matched each other. Magical.

Excellent food, low prices, make it a point to enjoy this place. It is up on the hill away from congested downtown, casual is fine, dress up though.
