It's annoying. The lack of communication between third party delivery and the business you already know the food won't be warm. Then this. I paid 43 bucks for this. And I have to ask. Would you pay 40 bucks for this? I'll sure never shop here again!

Cafe Rio catered a large (90 person) event for us and the food was fantastic! Everything was super fresh, extremely tasty, and full of flavor. Everyone loved it. Thank you, Cafe Rio! I’m so impressed! I haven’t been to your restaurant yet, but our family plans to go next week (my daughter is already asking for more of your creations!).

I have come here a couple of times. The food is decent but it could have been better. I ordered tacos and they asked if I wanted beans and rice to which I replied yes. They then put the beans and rice in a metal to go bowl and then placed my tacos on top of them. The tacos were wrapped so when I went to pick them up they were covered in bean sauce and rice. That's pretty frustrating. Also they were pretty stingy on the lettuce and cheese. The meat is delicious though.

I recommend the pork tacos and horchata here. The service was quick and kind. We stopped in here right before closing, served us our food happily not rushed, and even asked if we wanted to sit down to eat. So we did. It was a wonderful meal! There are lots of seats inside and it’s pretty big. The best part for me was the handmade tortillas. I liked the music too!

While the food was decent, the customer service was atrocious. It felt that we as the customers were a nuisance to the employees and the Manager by visiting their restaurant. When my son asked for pinto beans, the employee mistakenly put black beans in the burrito, and then proceeded to argue with him when he corrected her politely. The Manager out did her when she tried to prove exactly what 3 oz of meat was by weighing it on a scale when her employee was asked if she could put a little bit more meat on the burrito. This restaurant needs a cultural shift in the way they view their customer, and sadly I think it starts with the manager.

The food is clearly very fresh, and honestly everything does taste good. HOWEVER online orders are never filled correctly. The last 4 times we've ordered there are things there that expressly shouldn't be, or missing other things we've asked to add. If you want a guaranteed Correct order, go down the line with them, otherwise don't bother. This most recent time we ordered, we asked for 2 separate salads, both with no pico, I even verified on the receipt after having watched them start to make it after telling them the name on the order, and then both salads had pico in it, and a pittance of the meat we chose. Cafe Rio was a top choice while we lived on the East side of the state, I think I'm going to find a new favorite out West.

Have been to this particular location of Cafe Rio at least 7-8 times over the last few months. Each time we’ve noticed the quality of food and service has declined. This last time there was almost no chicken in our chicken burrito. We really want to support our local businesses but the staff at Cafe Rio doesn’t seem to even know what’s in their own Owner’s Choice burrito. Additionally, each time we visit we are charged a different price for the same Owner’s Choice burrito. The cashiers openly complain that there’s not enough staff and morale is clearly very low here. The food “artists” don’t feel like communicating in either English or Spanish (my partner is Mexican) and act like they wish you’d just go away. Really weird vibe. Even Jack in the Box next door offers better service. We love Cafe Rio in other locations but this one is definitely a “no go” these days. We’ll stick to La Venadita next door or drive down the street to Laz’s Taco Truck - both places are always happy to have our business.

The food is always great and the staff is friendly. The manager on duty mentioned that we could get a free quesadilla for our young son when we were at checkout so we ordered one and he brought it out to us when we were done. I always enjoy eating here when I'm in Issaquah.
