Opa Greek Restuarant - Islip - Photo album

The chicken souvlaki is SO good! This is a cozy place, where they remember you when you walk in. Super nice staff, food is always on point. I am a one trick pony, always order the same thing (yea...it's that good), but I bring people here who order other items and they have all raved about everythin
Live near this place and never tried it before. Loved the food! The Gyros were better than the ones from medeterranian express in Bayshore. I also think their Tatziki sauce is better. We got the food to go and it was very filling. I will definately get food from here again. I also loved their stuff
I have not ate in at this place but I have been ordering take out, pick up or delivery, for years and I just love it. The food is top notch and the employees are just fabulous. Kind service with a smile.
This place is amazing! Highly recommend the Saganaki appetizer, it is delicious (but a bit salty for those who do not enjoy salty dishes) Amazing Greek salads, gyros, falafel, all the standards are done very well. Also they have THE BEST pita i've ever had, it's delicious, warm, fresh, and everythin
Neighborhood gem. This place is in a horrible spot on 111. Very easy to miss. In fact, every restaurant that's ever been here has failed. Opa sticks around though because it's a good place. Never really busy, but it should be. Great value, good food. Very nice people.
The only Greek food I've had prior to this has been in dinners. This is a totally different experience. Like the difference between Chef boy ar Dee and moms Sunday sauce. I had a cubed pork dish with bell peppers and onion served over rice. Don't know how they got the meat so tender. Daughter had th
OPA is a great place to catch a bite. It has an old world feel with autgentic Greek dishes. While I haven't had their entire menu, I have had and love their chicken Souvlaki, and the Lemon chicken plate....so good. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.
Really enjoyed! The octopus appetizer was prepared perfect (tender and seasoned just right), the gyro had amazing flavor and could not resist the pita bread
Really good Greek spot in Islip. Beyond dependable - I get food from here frequently for the past year and a half. We always get the octopodi, hummus, falafels, and Greek Goddess Salad with Chicken or Salmon. Sometimes, I indulge myself with a tasty Gyro (either chicken or original). Definitely reco
First time my wife and I ate real Greek food and really enjoyed it. The hummus was okay but the gyros with the white sauce was awesome.
The menu has breakfast, lunch, and dinner with tons of options to choose from. Looking forward to trying more dishes from this place. The service was also fast and friendly.
Wow! Great food n service..Had the gyro dinner served over rice pilaf with salad. Delicious dressing..good price spent about 18 after tax
Great tasting traditional Greek food. Many healthy dishes as well. Clean and quiet restaurant. Highly recommended!
Place is lovely. Staff was attentive. We tried the lamb and gyro. Both were excellent.
Tasty and fresh! Tzatziki was perfect...not too overwhelming with garlic. Warm pita. So good!
