Dang BBQ is the place to go on Long Island if you are looking for great homemade style BBQ and all the side to go with BBQ. Great BBQ and family friendly atmosphere! Highly recommended!
Enormous portions.
The ribs with the sweet sauce was very good. Giant 🥨 appetizer was worth it as it was crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside.
The smokehouse lasagna was good though a little heavy on the cheese which covered the flavors of the meat.
Nice location. Great food. Very clean inside n out w/ full bar. Outside seating 💫

Authentic bbq in a casual but nice setting. All the usual bbq favorites like beef brisket, pulled pork, ribs and chicken. They have a wide variety of in house sauces which adds to the flavor. Definitely worth checking out.
Dang! That was good! We had the family which is a combination of ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken, 4 sides and 6 cornbread. The best bang for your buck! Highly recommended if you’re in Islip area!
Yesterday was our 2nd time going to Dang Bbq and it was great. Our server Mechele was amazing and remembered us from a few weeks before. We both got 3 little pigs (smoked sausage, pulled bbq pork and half rack of ribs). I got Mac and cheese and coleslaw for sides which was really good. For app we got the pulled pork and bacon jam empanadas. Love the free fresh potato chips. Mechele was great with letting us know what is good on the menu and she is very funny.
What a great find. Have been meaning to come here for a while and finally made it in. First, Claire our server/greeter was so friendly and welcoming, she had a great way about her. The manager behind the bar was really friendly as well.
The 10 wing sweet BBQ was incredible!!
I loved the juicy brisket platter and my niece had some amazing looking burrito with brisket in it. The sides were homemade and delicious. This place was awesome!! Much better than Smokin Al's.
There are a lot of cool looking things on the menu I want to go back and try!
Good, plenty and at a good price. You will definitely be full, but they serve such calorie bombs that they overwhelm you. If that's what you like, go ahead. You won't leave hungry for sure. Overall I recommend.
I got the three tacos so I could taste all the meats. The chicken was ok but needed a little something. The pork was very tasty. And that brisket!! That was live in a taco. Taco portions were what you'd expect. The others I dined with ordered dishes that had HUGE portion sizes. That cheeseburger mac n cheese looked amazing. Will definitely go back when in town.
We were in LI for a few soccer games. This spot came up in our restaurant search and we were not disappointed. The brisket was delicious. Coleslaw was on point rivals KFC's Coleslaw (Coleslaw lovers know what I'm talking about).
The wings were smoked and delicious 😋 .
