Review Bob's Bunz - Islamorada

Courtney Dust
The food at Bob’s Bunz is amazing - we had egg and cheese croissants with bacon and an original cinnamon bun, and everything we had was delicious. Clearly the taste of the cinnamon bun prompted us to take some goodies to go as well! Service was also great. We can’t wait to come back on our next visit!

Great place! Homemade Bakery items delicious!! Full breakfast menu available. Great server. Cute Little mom and pop type place. Small inside so it must get busy during season and on weekends.

Food was good, had the egg and cheese croissant and hubby had the B.B.S, which he really enjoyed. We also had the french toast filled with cream cheese and strawberries, which I loved. Service was quick and friendly. The only comment would be the prices vs portion sizes...as the portions were a bit small compared to other similar places. Overall it was a good experience.

Another good breakfast place here in Islamorada. It has all the feel of a small town mom and pop breakfast joint as well as comfort food to add to that feel. I had the biscuits and gravy and was NOT disappointed. Went around 1045 and it wasn’t overly busy. If you’re down here, definitely give this place a try

Loved our breakfast at Bob’s Bunz! Cinnamon buns were HUGE and delicious and the cinnamon coffee was perfect.

Amazing baked goods and food!!! Small place inside, so I bet they get quite busy and have a wait for tables. We stopped by around noon on a Friday and were the only customers at that time. Sadly the bakery case was mostly sold out, but understandable. Crab cake Benedict was delicious and wow... The cinnamon bun was so good. I will definitely be back!!

Great little place for breakfast. Had about a 20 min wait when we showed up at 10am.. Lala is awesome, Taylor is adorable but ur not getting our key lime cookies!! Ha! I got the blue crab Benedict and flavor was spot on.. I don't know how the cook managed to hard poach one egg and the other was perfect but it still was good! She got the chicken sand w fries.. good sandwich and the fries were crispy on the outside and almost like mashed potatoe consistency on the inside.. next time we are in the keys, we will be back for sure!! Also thanks Lala for the fishing advice!! We bought 2 bags of key lime cookies otw out so that's why the price was high per person so dont factor that in when you decide to come here..

We went there a couple of times while we were in the area. Great breakfast menu and the food was excellent. It's not a large restaurant, but it's worth the wait if there aren't any tables available. Prices are very reasonable.

Best breakfast spot in the keys! Everything is amazing. Not much seating so if you are dining in get here early!

Giant cinnamon Bunz & huge sticky Bunz with Pecans!! Mini cinnamon bunz & key lime cookies! A chocolate & vanilla swirled cinnamon bun too!! They were busy and we had 3 kid's, so I forgot to grab the key lime cookies. I really wanted to try too, I'm so sad, I waited a long time to visit this area and I forgot the key lime cookies!! They were in top if my must do things! Oh goodness what a shame! Hahaha I wish I could have them shipped to me because I really wanted to try them! Also the service was great!! Thanks Bob's Bunz!!!

This place was delicious. Our family of 4 were on vacation and staying at a resort nearby and decided to go out for breakfast here and it didn’t disappoint. It’s an old school feeling place with great hospitality. I got their Thursday breakfast special of cinnamon roll French toast, my kids got the pancakes and husband got biscuits and gravy and we all enjoyed our food. We also got their cinnamon roll coffee iced and it was excellent. Recommend 100%.

Great spot for breakfast, buns are very good probably the best I’ve had in a while , prices are fair , has that vintage look and homie feel to it. I will definitely stop by again on my next visit to the keys. Great staff.

This is a small little cafe with good food. I’ve been several times and the prices are reasonable and the food quality. Servers are really nice and the tea is good. One of the better bets for breakfast in the area, just too bad it isn’t on the water .

We sat out front on the porch and had a good breakfast. The blue crab eggs Benedict were great! Coffee was good too. Service was average.

What a delicious breakfast. Hubby had an omelette he scores a 4.5. I had a bread pudding French toast I scored 7 on a 5 point scale.

So my son has an eating disorder - ARFID. He normally has trouble finding foods he likes to eat. Not here! He ate the double chocolate chip cookie, the cinnamon bun, the milk, and the Belgium waffle. The rest of us had a egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and French toast. It was all amazing food.

We were celebrating and taking a family vacation and needed a cake while staying at The Moorings (Bloodlune fans is beautiful). Found Bob's on here. Best cover ever! The cake was orange and chocolate. One of the best cakes I've ever had. Last day there I stopped in and grabbed a breakfast sandwich to go and it was great too. Highly recommend. I wish they were in Indy!

Solid food with great service. We started off well a cinnamon bun that was amazing. My husband for the country fried steak and I got the breakfast burrito. Both tested good and were filling.

The food was delicious and $$$ but the rudest cashier left a very bad taste in my mouth. Refused to honor a Restaurant.com certificate off my smartphone. She told me those were a pain. Do not participate if you are not going to honor them. There are so many other places to eat in the Keys without attitude over $10.

Ehhh .... We went for breakfast. The food was iffy - ok but not great. I had the BBS (Bob's Best Seller) and my wife had the crab benedict. The crab cakes were actually good, but the hollandaise was bland and the English muffins were soggy and not toasted. The BBS was a basic skillet covered in processed American cheese. Both meals were over-priced versions of a crappy Denny's experience. We bought some famous "Bunz" and they were not very good either. The dough was tough and flavorless like they just used cheap ingredients or a tough version of French bread for their sweet rolls. The rolls were overpriced as well ($1.75 for a mini roll!). All in all, we won't go back, which is a shame because visiting an area and trying out the local cuisine is a favorite thing to do while on vacation.

Bob's Bunz - we really did not know what to expect initially; the restaurant was packed by 10.00 AM on July Fourth but the staff directed us to a well-placed table adjacent a very nice family from England. The menu offered a variety of items, and the service was quick and courteous. I had the Bob's Big Bear Breakfast, while my friend Janet had the Eggs Benedict. Both were very good, though it took me an hour to finish (I had also ordered sides of grits and corned beef hash!). The regular coffee was good-and-hot, and the OJ was fine. Dining was very casual and relaxed. The staff welcomed locals and out-of-towners alike. Recommend going early for breakfast to secure a roomier table.

Mini Sticky Buns. I had the mini sticky buns. They were incredible. The other pastries we ordered were good. I would go back for the sticky buns. They were gone before I could snap a photo.

Went for breakfast - service was very good and the food (eggs bacon and french toast) was decent, not great but okay.

Both food and atmosphere lack vivacity. Though the pastries are slightly redeeming they do not make up for the tacky decoration or the absence of creativity in the meal compositions.

Orange juice. Don't ask for a large glass of it. or to speak with the owner .after the drama .neither will be granted.my business partner and i haven't been back in 4 years .plenty of restaurants.with better service in islamorada.

Lousy stale pastry and buns. Did not try breakfast. Buns are usually days old.

Great breakfast. Awesome buns! Eggs done perfectly! Who could aak for more? Oh, and the coffee was great, too!
Chris Hiser
Great lunch! Huge sandwiches for a great price. The baked goods are also most excellent. Highly recomend.

In the cut, but a cut above the rest. I love how it's a small diner, but the food has that love and care that you expect from your southern auntie or mommy. I want to slap myself for not ordering my wedding cake here!

When traveling, remember this place. When we travel to the Keys, we travel light, so good food stops are searched for and remembered. This is a very good breakfast/bakery where you can stock up on baked goods for the day after an excellent breakfast. Right on the main highway, easy access from all the motels and hotels on the island. Yum.

Bob's Bunz is a small diner that serves big bunz, cinnamon buns that is, and great breakfast. During my trip to the Florida Keys, my husband and I discovered this small spot while riding our bicycles. I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place - especially since breakfast is served all day (well, their hours are 6am-2pm). Fisherman's choice was my pick for breakfast - fish cooked the way you want it, along with eggs, toast and home fries. Who thought of having fish for breakfast? A strange idea to me, but hey, if you're in Islamadora - The Sport Fishing Capital of The World - why not? Fisherman's Choice, $9.95 Of course, the traditional items are served for breakfast. You can view their menu on their website . After having a filling breakfast, grab a cinnamon bun to go - it's worth it! And now, the Bunz...I'll let the pictures do all the talking: Bob's Bunz 81532 Overseas Hwy Islamorada, FL 33036 www.bobsbunz.com

Just got back from spending a great Thanksgiving down in Islamorada. Enjoyed outstanding stone crabs and lobsters from the nearby Mr. Lobster (take home) for most meals but ventured out to a couple of local spots and had enjoyable meals. If you are down t
