I love eating noodles soup from here. Broth is very flavorful. Serving is good portion .
Excellent service and ambiance very much private which I liked the most. Bravo folks keep it up ✅
Believe me when I say that I have tried more than my fair share of beef noodle soups in the Orange County AND in the Los Angeles area. Since beef noodle soup is OC Foodie's boyfriend's #1 favorite food, we have dined at countless restaurants to find the tastiest beef noodle soups in Southern California. Listed below are only the places that I remember that have made an impression, and I'm sure there are many restaurants we have ordered beef noodle soup but didn't pass the average test.
"Award winning Taiwanese beef noodle soup!" Yes, I was in the mood for trying a new restaurant and was suckered into trying this place after reading this on their website.
I have to agree that this is by far the best beef noodle soup I've had (and I've tried quite many places). Another dish that I usually order are the spicy wontons, which was good but didn't deliver like the beef noodles did. The bean curd side dish ($4) was also average. For a bowl of beef noodle soup. which is generally a homey soup meal, the price ~$11-12 is definitely the most priciest so far. But the noodles seem to be handmade, good amount of beef (and tendons which I like!) with savory soup... Will be coming back!

Irvine, California, is the only city in America where you can sample Chef Hung’s amazing Taiwan noodles. This isn’t really surprising since the Diamond Jamboree Plaza in Irvi
We ordered a beef noodle and a tendon and beef soup along with dumplings and beef wrapped on crispy pancake. The soups came out just fine while the dumplings seemed to have been frozen, they stuck to the wax paper and ripped. The beef wrapped in pancake was fine. Most everything was fine, dumpling where so so. Price we felt 'slightly' on the high side. Atmosphere was great as it wasn't crowded and offered refuge from the bustle outside.
It’s my 2nd visit here. The first time, I wasn’t really hungry and so I just ordered soup dumplings... very so so. Last Monday I went there again for a meeting. Though I wasn’t hungry, I decided to order a bowl of noodles so that I could give this restaurant a more valid review. The noodles were surprisingly good! I ordered half beef half tendon... really yummy. What needs of be improved probably is the soup... need a bit more spices. Compared to the noodles in Taiwan, this one definitely not as good. But if you have a craving for Taiwanese noodles, surely a great place to visit! I am gonna try the fried rice next time!
Every restaurant in this complex has a wait, but this one is worth it!
Our family’s first time eating at a Taiwanese restaurant. We absolutely loved it!
We ordered all our soup with the flat noodles, super yummy! But curious to try the fat ones next time.
Reasonably priced, friendly staff, generous portions.
Good place to go to if you're craving Taiwanese beef Noodle Soup.
Food:
I ordered the number one champion beef noodle soup with the big noodles. Honestly the soup broth was a little bland to me, but the noodles and the beef totally made it up for me.
The shank was probably the best shank I've had out of all the beef noodle soup or pho places I've been to. Next time, I'd probably ask for more shank than the other meat.
The noodles are super chewy so having big noodles are great. I wish they cut the noodles more though because they were really long.
I ended up having to add extra chili sauce to give my beef noodle soup more flavor.
The portion was just the right amount for me.
Drink:
I ordered the winter melon tea drink, it was really refreshing and good. It was slightly a little sweet but once the ice melted, it was perfect.
Ambience:
The place looks really nice but the sofa couches had ripped seating everywhere which was a little uncomfortable
Service:
All the orders came fairly quickly and the servers were quite nice
Parking:
I'd recommend parking in the parking structure, a lot more space there
Value:
The price is pretty average, the bowls were around $13 and the drink was $3.25
If you go for lunch, the lunch sets include a free drink, small appetizer, and soup all for a lower price!
It's a clean and comfortable place, the beef taste good and I love the textures of the both the flat and thin noodles, however the soup base has more soysource flavor vs beef flavors, will come again if I have the cravings.
Excellent Taiwanese beef noodle soup I had in USA. Beef and tendons are cooked to perfection, noodle are great and soup is very tasty. If I have to pick on one thing, it will be they don’t have the sour cabbage
Excellent noodles and right balance
For someone coming back just several days ago from mainland China .I didn't know what to expect but was really impressed.
Only slight complaints that don't take away from my five star rating.
The tripe was not cooked very well or not the freshest meat and the broth tasted like it had been flavored up with some boullion paste...but was still better than 90% of the places I've had it in the USA. So really whether you have had Chinese or Taiwan style noodles overseas or not..it's hard to not find this place comforting as it pretty much hits the mark
One of the best Taiwanese Beef noodle ! I am from Taiwan, and I love Chef Hung ❤️ The noodle is not very spicy but smells good:) You can choose different part of beef, and the thin sliced beef is my favorite
Four stairs is because of the beef noodle soup ”with fat noodles) spicy!! Amazing very tasty! I was there during there no rush hours. I also ordered side of spicy dumplings and boi that was amazing too!!
This is back at the time before the Covid-19 and you still can dine-in
The noodle bowl is okay and reliable (not mindblown or anything) yet the price is a bit high
Their best flavor is the tomato soup, but if you fancy for a tomato hot pot you can visit Haidilao upstairs, if your group has more than 5 people then there's a high chance your average cost would be more or less the same at Chef Hung level
Nice Taiwanese beef noodle restaurant. A bit pricy. But the beef broth is good.
Delicious feel-good soup. Better to share if you don't feel like taking some home. Service is good. We have order the prize winning Beef Noodle Soup several times and it never disappoints. Great experience overall!!
I really like the texture of the noodles and tenderness of the beef here. I also love the huge chunk of tendon. I usually get some extra pickled veg. They used to bring it with the soup, but now you have to ask for it. Go during lunch because you get a free tea, and some extra little dishes. Parking in Diamond Jamboree is awful, but there is a parking garage in the back. Great area for food.
