Review Melini Italian Restaurant - Ironton

May have been a bad night but we had to wait forever for everything even though the place was empty. Awkwardly stood at the door to be seated for some time before we were finally told to go sit at the bar and wait. Took a while for a “bartender” to appear. My date tried to order us a glass of red wine. They were out of his first two choices then on the third attempt started pouring a white as if he didn’t know the difference. Turned out both were from the same winery but obviously different wines. Finally got seated at a table about 5 feet from where we were sitting. Food actually made it out in a timely manner but my Chicken Parmesan was mediocre at best. All that said I would give them a second chance.

The salmon was most excellent! Friendly staff, clean establishment .

Took my boyfriend to dinner for father's day. He had ate here once and loved it and I hadn't tried it yet. Hands down absolutely amazing food! Went out of my comfort zone and tried grouper for the first time and I was not disappointed!

Worst lasagna I have ever had. The ground meat was not seasoned, the ricotta was dry and chalky. The sauce was decent. The breadsticks and marinara were good.

Great food!! Bad service! They treat you poorly.. sighing, rolling eyes everytime they do anything. Never respond with a thank you or you are welcome..So unfriendly. Never see a manager or anyone that acts like one. It’s sad!

After eating there a 2nd time, a about three years apart, I am disappointed. Absolutely excellent the 1st time. Now, the shellfish was pitifully undercooked.

I had a late lunch here on 5/10/22. The food, the customer service, the cleanliness were all excellent. If I lived in Ironton, I would definitely become a regular customer.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Best restaurant experience I've had since living in this area. The atmosphere inside is not too casual nor too upscale. The food is excellent. I mean absolutely excellent. The sauces are all freshly made, and the flavor is proof enough of this. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our waiter, Roger, made the experience even more enjoyable with the knowledge of the menu. My wife was unsure of what to order. After explaining what she was looking for, the suggestion given absolutely hsit the spot. Cannot think of anything that would have made the experience better. Would give 10 stars if I could.
