Review Grumpy Jeff's Public House - Ione

So, a lot of people have reviewed this place but it's not official unless I've done the review. J/k! This place is surely a gem. Excellent beer, excellent food and to top it off amazing staff! My wife and I have been trying to drop by here but we e always come at a bad time. Today we finally got to try the food and I can assure you that this is one of the best local spots to hit up. We came in and were treated like family. Beers came immediately And the food came as a surprise because the moment you start thinking about how long it takes to get your food, the chef is placing the baskets of wonderfulness in front of you. I was done with my first beer and started on the second pint when our food arrived. My God!!!! Cleanest fried goodies and fantastic burger. The pictures don't do justice. It's all about flavor. You taste the jalapeno poppers and not the oils. The fries are on spot! Dang you have to have the pulled pork fries. Soooo damn good. Well take a look at the pictures and see you here in Ione.

We always enjoy Jeff's food and beer. I'm not a beer drinker, but their beer is so cold and good, I crave it! The wonderful workers, patrons, and atmosphere makes it a memorable experience. We had the Wagu burger with perfectly seasoned/cooked fries (portion large enough for 2 or more people), the meat melts in your mouth, it's delicious.

The owner informed us that it was the last day of operation as he was putting all his focus into his brewery, we were sad about the closing but happy for him for sure, and even happier after a couple of good hot dogs too! Good luck to you Grumpy Jeff!

Right off the bat as they say, I give um 4 stars because they actually a decent dark beer. The place was clean and didn't stink like cigarettes like Tilleys. I'm sorry if I misspelled the name it stinks inside just the same. The help was quick and polite, also the prices were decent. I will be coming back here again.

Fantastic place. Great tap selection and food. Do not hesitate to swing by for a beer! Plenty of TVs, darts, and good times. You won't want to leave!

My favorite place to go for date night! The rotating food and drink menu makes each visit a little different. The staff is also super friendly, and there's always a fun vibe.
