I've never eaten here, but we come here to sing karaoke. Great times! The drinks aren't overpriced and there's a great selection of karaoke! I would recommend this to anyone, first timers and veteran "karaoke-ers" alike!
I myself have been going to this place for over 20+yrs and I never had a problem with the food or the people inside... I think all the haters need to ask themselves is it just you??... Haters gonna hate but I love this bar!!!
Karaoke and drinking. I recently found this place and have stopped in a few times. I really enjoy the atmosphere and the drinks are usually good. I was in on a couple of Sunday nights and you get a bucket of beer for a reasonable price.
The Pizza was good actually, and I will have it again.
I was also surprised at how many decent singers seem to show up at this bar. One guy in particular I heard sing a few songs was a big guy named Kevin. This guy could really sing and some of the others were good too.
My server was friendly and cute, always a plus!

Can i say Double wide turned into a fun jive?. This venue is like a dive bar to say the least... graffiti all over the bathroom walls, dark and extremely smokey, after all it is a bar! They have Karaoke there and looks like every night of the week, the Dj is a little rude and obnoxious but it appears that is the flare of this bar, everyone seemed to love it. Extremely Loud music, but i was there to have fun, not take a girl on a nice dinner date, or conduct a business meeting. I can't speak for the food, due to lack of appetite i had from the previous bar i went to.. But the drinks were stiff, but served in a small glass. Cheap mixed drinks! It almost looks like they turned a double wide trailer into a bar. Great little hole in the wall.
My business hosts weekly paint and sip events at Colonial Tavern. The owners are so amazing to work with and we almost always sell out our classes b/c the atmosphere is perfect for our events. They put a lot of work into the place to remodel and it's super nice.
So its Tuesday in on business started at the Thompson House they close at 11:00 p.m. definitely not what it said on Google came here and it was a really upbeat place they have Coke karaoke and pizza they had a fire not too long ago so all they have is pizza and a couple of other things so no sandwiches right now really cool place
Side note they just do pizza and garlic knots now the two owners where here running around taking care of everyone great local stop I will have to say you should try

I am the traveler. I don’t know where to start. So I drove past the colonial inn several time while working Indianapolis. And decided to check out there reviews. I know not everyone is going to be happy, but with many good reviews and a response from the new owner Dane with true sovereignty and concern for those who weren’t satisfied. So I stopped by on a Wednesday and absolutely enjoyed everything about this place. I seen some amazing burgers and awesome wings come out of the kitchen, by the way short handed the owner Dane was cooking. I was in the mood for a simple burger and got the Fresco Inn. Just 1/2# patty American and Swiss cheese 1000 island dressing on Texas toast amazing fries hot and crispy. Dane has been remodelling and the place looks great. The staff and customers are awesome and friendly to new comers. DJ Gina or Monday and Wednesday is great. Covered outside patio for smoking eating, & drinking. Specials every day. Highly recommend stopping by and giving them the opportunity to serve you.
This was the 1st bar I went to in Indiana and it's been my favorite since.

Music trivia (7 to 9) followed by an Open stage/karaoke for whatever talents you posess on Tuesday nights...

Great place to have a drink and hear live music. They also have karaoke beer specials and drink specials. The food menu is very limited but decent. They also just added a huge Greek salad to the menu for those vegetarians who need to munch.
Very friendly staff. Gonna have to come back for karaoke! Really good beer prices, too.

Absolutely amazing time. I'm an old dude so dive bars are my comfort and this place is amazing. Awesome bartenders, karaoke was amazing, just a superb time and I'll definitely be back!!!!
Has new owners, and they have been updating the place. It looks really good and love that they have karaoke. You should definitely check it out, you might find yourself a new hangout spot 😀
Colonial Tavern, Indianapolis is a great host for our Wine and Canvas events! I am a Art instructor for Wine & Canvas and I do monthly classes there. Lori, the owner is very accommodating and great to work with. The atmosphere is great and the servers are friendly and sufficient. But the best part of it is that our clients have great time and create beautiful masterpieces! If you are looking for a space to do an event, I would recommend Colonial Tavern.
