Tilly's Tea Room

Such a fun experience! Went here with my mom and toddler and had the best experience! You will definitely need a reservation, especially if planning to go on a Saturday as there is not room for walk-ins on weekends. We made our reservation about a week in advance. When we arrived, we were greeted by name by the owner, Sharon! Very nice touch as it let me know they are very aware of their reservations! She was very sweet and kindly showed us to our table! She even came back and took our order!

I took my kids for my daughters birthday and we loved it. Our server Debbie was so pleasant. They was a little busy but she was on it. It was our first time there and she took her time explaining to us everything we asked. The tea was so good my 17 year old son wants to come back just for that. The scones just melted in my mouth. I so happy someone told me about this place. Definitely coming back!!!

Asked for sugar for tea. Waitress went and chit chatted. Had Afternoon Tea which was very good but a 20% tip was automatically added. There were only two of us so not a large party. Isn’t it up to customer to decide on the tip? I would have left 20% but did not like it was assumed by restaurant. Tipping is getting totally out of hand now!

We went to Tilly's for the first time today to celebrate an early Mother's Day. The whole experience was amazing. Originally I made a reservation for four people, but they were able to accommodate two extra people when I called to ask a few days in advance. The staff was so friendly and the decor is very modern and chic. The food was very good, especially the vanilla tea and scones with clotted cream and strawberry champagne jelly. Our party also had seared salmon salads and the children's princess teas. The mini egg salad sandwiches were very tasty. They had plastic tea cups and utensils for my 4 year old, which was very appreciated. All the plates, tea pots and cups/saucers were very elegant. I highly recommend Tilly's for any special occasion!

Visited without a reservation on the off chance they could squeeze us in. Met by Sharon who was lovely and made sure we got in even though they appeared to be extremely busy pre Christmas. After we sat down in their beautiful space inside Saks 5th Ave, we ordered afternoon tea accompanied by a couple of Mimosas. Service was attentive, friendly and based on the conversation with our waitress about Yorkshire tea, very knowledgeable. The food was excellent, we are English expats and have had tea in various establishments in London and Manchester and this was up there with them all. Finger sandwiches were delicious, especially the egg mayonnaise and cucumber and cheese. Pastries were delicate, fresh and tasty, and to top it off, a lovely homemade scone with real clotted cream, a first for me in the States as you can’t get it here! Who would have thought that such an authentic English experience could be found in such pleasant surroundings in the midwest, but here it is. A real treat, highly recommended, we’ll be back soon…….
