In my opinion, The Flying Cupcake is a decent bakery - the cupcakes are definitely on the extra-sweeter side and can be a bit heavy. I often find that the icing is a bit overwhelming and makes the cupcake hard to eat after a few bites. Additionally, I've noticed that the cupcakes can be a bit dry, and it would be nice if there was some filling inside to add moisture. That being said, I did order a cake from The Flying Cupcake for my best friend's birthday and it was pretty good! While the cupcakes may not be my absolute favorite, I still enjoy them and appreciate the variety of flavors available. Overall, I would say that I like The Flying Cupcake, but I don't love it. It's a good spot for satisfying a sweet tooth, but the cupcakes could benefit from some improvements in texture and sweetness.

I was in town for a conference and these convention centers never have decent dessert options for vegans. I used DoorDash to order a vegan red velvet Elvis to satisfy my sweet tooth and it did not disappoint! For starters, the cupcake was HUGE and I definitely had enough for 2 servings.
