Great food and service! We loved everything we ordered. The salsa is spicy! Prices are good, too. The gentleman and lady working were both very kind and even got us to go waters since it was a very hot day. Everyone had masks on and were socially distant. They have many great Mexican and breakfast options. Loved the potatoes in the breakfast burrito!

So Delicious! Service is amazing. We love this place for breakfast. I tend to go for the traditional breakfast but hubby loves all the Mexican infused options and he has yet to have anything he didn't like. Come hungry or to share since portions are very generous.

First visit about 8AM on a Sunday no crowd, seated right away. Clean, prompt service, hot coffee. Mostly Mexican menu we had huevos rancheros and breakfast quesadilla, both delicious. Will return.

The food was really good, we got the chicken chilaquiles, fajita quesadilla, and strawberry waffle. The staff was really friendly, they did seem very busy (around noon) we had a 20 minute wait which isn’t unusual from other brunch places we’ve visited. They have authentic Mexican dishes with some Tex mex options as well. They have aguas frescas, that’s always a good indicator, in my opinion, that the place is authentic. Highly recommend!! Can’t wait to go back and try other dishes!

I’ve driven past this place countless times and have heard rave reviews of it from different people that I know. On Sunday I finally decided to make the plunge and visit it for myself.
I parked down the way, and walked up and the place was so packed I had to stand in the place that is in between, the outside and in the inside, not the upside down but semi similar.
I didn’t wait too long they move people in very quickly, and since I tend to dine on my own, I asked for bar seating. After getting to my spot at the bar, I was able to check out the menu. Tons of choices! I think I could come each weekend and not try everything.
Ended up having the bloody mary which was simple but delicious, as for food there are so many breakfast and brunch options I wanted to try something different so I had the huevos avocados, delicious, different and just what I needed. All around loved the set up and the experience, it's a place ill certainly be back to again.

One of mine and my boyfriend's favorite places to eat. Their Belgian waffle is delicious!! You can get a mimosa to have with your breakfast, which is pretty cool. My boyfriend has gotten the huevos rancheros before and they are really good too. Their sausage patties are some of the best we've had. Nice friendly service and atmosphere.

Was a quite place. We went there for lunch you can order Mexican food, breakfast foods like omelets, or pancakes I had the Texas burrito with stake and shrimp. There was a good amount of shrimp and the rice and beans are out of this world. The water tastes bad but that's not their fault. I have been to a large amount of Mexican restaurants all over the country and lives 3 years in Texas and I would recommend Biscuits restaurant to anyone and plan to go back soon.

Have been before and will return again. Good food, good service, reasonable prices! I love their tortilla chips. Big menu with options for everyone. We haven't tried the breakfast options because we are enamored of the dinner ones.

I started going to Biscuits back in 2000? Somewhere around there whenever I came in from California to visit my hometown. Lots of changes not sure I like so many bars. But the place love the people who work there the food the home real deal Mexican -AMERICAN FOODS. YUMMY! Now I have moved back been going 2-6 x month. I go everyday if I could. You must eat there. Booths on bar side tables are every other for know so best for small groups or friends for now. Today I got the tenderloin and fries so much it's all I ate today and still tried to eat 3 x still not done. Oh well good for breakfast tomorrow with coffee. ❤️🔆 June 2022 its changed don't go hardly anymore. Sometimes liked to have a drink with my meal. Last five times noone in there that has a license to serve so i leave. Very sad looks like they lost a lot business I dint see very many people there like i use to. 😏

A long time fan of Biscuits food truck. Restaurant visits have been great but breakfast, on a Sunny Sunday morning was excellent. Line was out the door and we still received superb customer service and was served in under 30 minutes with fresh hot breakfast. Had no idea it would be packed to capacity but it didn't fail to please. I had a great first time Sunday brunch experience.

I've visited this spot for breakfast and lunch. The service is great although it can get pricey and very busy compared to the other some other brunch and Mexican restaurants in Broad Ripple. The food is yummy and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I've yet to try their mimosas or margaritas, but they always seem to have deals going on.

Awesome Tacos!!!! Wow!!! Amazing. They said they won 1st place for their tacos in a city-wide competition or something like that . I see why!!!! Never really had pork tacos but they are now my favorite. The one with pineapples (chunks of pork) is so awesome. Pulled pork (carnitas) amazing flavor. Great job to the owners.
Heather Vazquez
It's a tradition for us to always have at least one breakfast here when visiting Indy. Theyve renovated and updated their menu recently, which gave lots more room!

It is now called Caliente! Food was good.

Great first impression. Biscuits is a nice, friendly little cafe in Broad Ripple next to the Monon. We came for the breakfast. I love the wide choice Mexican breakfast dishes to choose from. Chiliquiles started off my day. I had mine with carnitas, mole sauce and eggs sunny side up. Their mole sauce is a knock out. Full of flavor. Dark, rich, smokey... perfect with the carnitas and tortillas. Their sides... beans and rice were good too. The rice was light and fluffy with a delicate flavor. The beans had a nice blend of spices and we're just right...not too dry, not too runny.
We will definitely be back. Back for breakfast. And back to try lunch and dinner.

Thought i would order and try buiscuits for my first time. The buiscuit n gravy was amazing! The ham egg cheese bagel not so much it was very soggy. After the second bite i had to spit it out and toss it. MY chihuahua seemed to like the eggs she kept wanting more. I have a order of French toast for later! If it tastes as good as it looks I am excited. I would eat here again just for the biscuit n gravy.

We were looking for a place for breakfast and decided to stop in to Biscuits. The place was packed on a Saturday with people waiting for tables. We only had about a 5 minutes wait before being seated. I was surprised by the number of selections for breakfast. The server promptly took our beverage order and brought us our coffee. For as busy as the restaurant was they had great order turnaround time. We both enjoyed our breakfast and plan to return to try their mexican food.

My sister and I haphazardly stopped here for early dinner, and geez, it was delightful. The staff were really nice, made us feel right at home, even tolerated my sister's 'broken Spanish' :) There seemed to be a new menu and we found some authentic dishes from Michoacan, and so she ordered Poblano Relleno - it's the first time I've tasted a chile relleno here in Indy that I would recommend, they were very nice indeed, tender poblano pepper, stuffed with authentic Mexican white cheese, covered in a light egg-white batter, and fried up to perfection - really really good. I mentioned I wanted something with chorizo, and then took the waitress' suggestion - called Pollo Ranchero, it was lightly cooked chicken breast tenders and onions and peppers in a sinfully delicious sauce that seemed their own special - they took a ranchero sauce and cooked chorizo sausage in it, producing a red sausage gravy that was just too darn good - an excellent suggestion from our excellent waitress. Next up, I want to go for breakfast cuz they have an astounding breakfast menu too. Clean, attractive, great food and service, a real winner in Indy's Broad Ripple neighborhood!

Delicious breakfast! I've only ever had their breakfast but I love it. You get a lot of food for a good price. It's fast and service is great. Food tastes very good. I've never been disappointed and would recommend it for breakfast if you're ever in the area.
The Derren
Yummy!!! Fast and friendly service! Good prices and very tasty food. Everything from biscuits and gravy to T-bone steak. Fajitas were amazing! Great place!
Michele Raines
My favorite diner breakfast!!! Always super fast and tons of food. Low prices. It is always packed when we go. I always get the number one combo.
Matt King
Great breakfast burritos, but 3 bucks for coffee! Not sure I'll be back.

Not a happy ending. The food was good, service was terrible. the server was rude and then tried to rip us off. charged 7$ more than they should and argued with us about it.

Great Carnitas. This was a second option since the first place we wanted to go didn't seem to be the right choice. From the outside this place does not look like much but on the inside it is fantastic. Service was fast and she made a great recommendation on the carnitas. I had the verde chimichanga which was outstanding. The pork was so succulent and the verde sauce was very nice. My wife had 3 carnitas tacos that were more than ample. The free salsa was surprisingly and pleasingly spicy and not runny as is often the case on the free salsa. We also tried the spicy guac but the fresh guac was so good I had to pass on the spicier version.

For the money, service and flavor I would definitely go back here if I am ever back up in Broad Ripple.
Davidmmi20
Love this place. The breakfast is amazing. .. But I decided to Write this review fir another reason. .. so I'm actually here now and I came in and asked how much the combo number 1 is... mind you I eat here about twice a month. The server here is here everyday so she asks me If I'm short on money and if I am she'll cover me and pay her next time. . I wasnt short on money but that gesture is amazing and meant a lot to me

Chips and salsa were good. The rest of my food was so bad it ruined my whole day.
Joe
Very disappointed. Pork torta tasted terrible. Super burrito was bland and had entirely too much cilantro. Service was good until our waitress realized we didn't like the food, then we were ignored. I expected much, much more from the reviews. Menu was too big and a bit overwhelming (and not to mention expensive for the quality of food). We love food, but this food was so bad it actually ruined our appetites for the rest of the day.

GOOD FOOD. GREAT FOOD SAM,KENNY & MEGAN

Dissappointed. Went here expecting decent American food or decent Mexican food; however was greatly disappointed. Everything treated fake artificial from a jar. The salsa was way too spicy. Queso was bland or my taste buds were numb from the heat of the salsa. The chips were stale. I got the pollo verde chicken was way tooo spicy I like heat but this was painful to eat. Everything was topped with raw onions that put a bad taste in my mouth. Aaron got a bacon cheeseburger which looked impressive however the meat was burnt in the outside raw on the inside and had no flavor. However the bacon was pretty good. Fries standard freezer fries. The one good thing is the service was excellent our waitress was polite and attentive. Cleary after the dissappointing food I thought it was way overpriced. Prolly won't be going here again :/
Adam
The biscuits and gravy are legit. Couldn't finish the full order, so much food!
Teresa
Liked it until.... I enjoyed sitting at the random counter watching the cooks pound out the breakfast orders, but then one time I got a bunch of MOLDY cheese on my eggs. I was pretty grossed out and since haven't been back.

Little known hole in the wall. Surprisingly good. Good service, great cooks that get Job done. On an aesthetic note, the dining room could use a make over.

Go...just go. This place is a little hidden gem in the ass crack of Broad Ripple.

Biscuits and gravy is def a 5 star! Cheap good breakfast....
Amanda Ann Meyer
Quick. Never had anything Mexican here. It's a go to place for breakfast. Can go in get a sandwich and in less than 5 mins your out the door. Excellent wait staff!
Johnny Cakes
2 strikes. I had breakfast combo#6 with scrambled eggs and cornbeef hash. Pancakes were awesome, but the other two sucked. Highly recommend the pancakes and breakfast burrito.

So....Biscuits opens at 7:00am on Sunday. After receiving blank stares from the wait staff through the locked front glass entry way. We and several other agrivated patrons decided to take our business elsewhere at ~7:20am

Buiscuits is a great place. I have enjoyed Buiscuits for years. The food is excellent and the servers are even better. The spicy gravy is pink, yes this is from spice, and it is very good. I love the pastor (Pork, marinated and grilled) soft tacos and love both the corned beef hash with eggs and the eggs benedict. The holendase sauce is nicwely tart.

I recommend buiscuits to anyone who wants a good, filling meal at a rasonable price served by friendly servers and cooked in sight. I have sat at the counter and watched the cooking on busy mornings. It is wonderful to see them keep the flow going..

One of my favorite spots to eat in in Indy.

I currently work at biscuits and I've been reading some reveiws and there are some misconceptions of this restaurant. First off, the food is amazing. Biscuits are made fresh every morning as well as the gravy. All of the salsas and spices offers on the menu is HOMEMADE recepies. Even the blueberry and strawberry sauce for the pancakes is homemade. Being a server there on the weekends, the restaurant can get so busy, so I expect that costumers should at least understand. All of the people tht work there are very kind and give service to the best to our abilities. I get free breakfast every morning and the menu really does offer some of the best food ever. And whoever thinks this restrauant is a greesy spoon or needs to be cleaned is completely misleaded. I clean the chairs and bleach all surfaces and clean my but off every time I work. I suggest you come here and enjoy your choice of Mexican or American food!

They Charged me $1.25 for a piece of Bread. What can I say. The place is in need of a good cleaning, the food is average and when I asked for Toast. They Brought me a slice of bread, not toasted, then charged me $1.25 for it. I'm all the right to make money, But it was 1 slice of white bread. I'm Preatty sure that is not a high dollar item.

I and a friend were in a mood for Mexican on Thursday, so we made our way to Biscuits. As usual, I was overwhelmed with the choices on the menu. Finally, however, I decided on the Chimichanga with shredded beef.

Before the dishes arrive, the table is served chips and salsa. I liked the chips pretty well. They had a light, crispy texture. The salsa was pretty good, but not exceptional.

Next the chimichanga came. It was plated with rice and refritos. The rice it about what I expected. I thought the beans were above-average tasting. The chimichanga itself was pretty good, but could have used a bit more seasoning in the filling.

For this meal:

Food: 2.5
Service: 2.25
Atmosphere: 2
****************
Explanation of rating scale:
1: Does Not Meet Expectations
2: Meets Expectations
3: Exceeds Expectations
4: Far Exceeds Expectations
So, on this scale, a 2 is a respectable score. 4s will be very rare. I had not been to Biscuits since it was in Carmel, and was curious to try it out.

To start with, I liked the coffee quite a bit. They serve Douwe Egberts here, and I really like their coffees. I decided to go with the chorizo scramble for breakfast. It was scrambled eggs mixed with chorizo sausage over Mexican potatoes. The whole dish was then topped with a cheese blend. Overall, the dish was pretty good, but not exceptional. I thought the chorizo was a little too mild, or there was not enough in the dish. A better cheese could have lifted the dish as well.

Our service was pretty good throughout. I'll probably be back some time to try another dish or two.

Food: 2.5
Service: 2.5
Atmosphere: 2
****************
Explanation of rating scale:
1: Does Not Meet Expectations
2: Meets Expectations
3: Exceeds Expectations
4: Far Exceeds Expectations
So, on this scale, a 2 is a respectable score. 4s will be very rare. Anybody seen my food.... Oh, wait there it is, the plate is so big I lost my food. Come on now! If you use smaller plates it LOOKS like you get more food... again this place is a one slice of toast instead of two kinda place. I mean for godsake man!! Who serves PINK gravy??? That's just weird! Listen save your moo lah and hit some place else. Why is it called Biscuits when the bisciuts are bad (and small)?
Amanda Pickrell
This place is awesome! I uploaded 4 pages of the 8 page menu before our menus were retrieved...great food, great service, cheap! Love the biscuits & gravy, breakfast quesadilla, tortas, & nachos!

You need to be drunk or hung-over. To like this place. My wife and I were neither. The eggs looked and tasted like something from Burger King. The biscuits? Heated up in a microwave, and so dry they were barely edible. The only thing hey seem to know how to not ruin is potatoes- she had hash browns and I had "Mexican potatoes" (home fries) and both were good.
If the menu says an item contains "salsa", this means cheap crap out of a jar. Honestly just a lousy resteraunt.

Awesome mexican yummy. Had biscuits for breakfast, had the chorizio breakfast burrito meal. fist off, huge portion, and I eat alot! so I was very happy. first bite was freshness and light tasting for what I ordered. many meal come w/ rice and beans, many wont like that first thing in the morning, but if you do you wont be disappointed. the coffee was full bodied and NOT weak or watered down, pound for pound this was a gem of a meal.
Marc
Mmmm breakfast burritos. I used to live in California where there are great mexican joints on every corner, and there was nothing quite like stumbling over to one on a saturday or sunday morning to seek out a breakfast burrito as a hangover cure. I thought repeating such a scenario would be impossible in Indianapolis but Biscuits really does make a mean breakfast burrito. The real + is their biscuits and gravy....make sure to order it pink (nice and spicy)
J
Pleasently surprised. I was looking for breakfast at 1030 ..not much open in br that time of morning, so we found this place, and did not realize till we sat down it was mexican, but we both ordered breakfast, and we very impressed, nice portions, nice service..i hope this place sticks around a while, i want to be back...kinda interesting a mexican place serving american food...
DeAnna
Best hangover cure. Go here, eat spicy biscuits and gravy, cure your hangover. Yum.

Incredible enchiladas. Get them al pastor. The mole sauce is out of this world!
It's funny, most people associate Biscuits with brunch -- and indeed some of their brunch items are good (like the eggs benedict; terrific hollandaise). But most don't realize how wonderful their Mexican food is.

This place is the worst food ever!!!

Quite lovely.. We came here because we wanted to go out to breakfast, and Biscuits has a funny name, so naturally we picked it.
everything here is really delicious, and doesnt take too long at all. the pancakes are WONDERFUL (im a big pancake fan.), and so was the ham (im not a big ham fan, so that's saying a lot.)
since then i've been back twice and it's always a great experience.

I really enjoy this place. It's your typical greasy spoon diner with a Mexican kick. I'm a huge fan of their spicy biscuits and gravy; yummy. I've never had a bad meal from this place

Combo #1. The breakfast combo #1 is great. One of the best breakfast food combinations I have ever had. Order with corn beef hash. The breakfast burrito is really good as well.

Biscuits Rocked on First Pass. Okay, on my first visit to Biscuits I will admit that I was feeling a little rough around the edges--a late night tends to do that to me these days.
The Huevos Rancheros ROCKED MY WORLD. I moved back to Indiana from Arizona and it was the first time I had anything that felt like it was truly Mexican by nature and not some dumbed down gringo version of Mexican cuisine.
The huevos were the only thing I ate that morning, but my tummy and my head were all the better for it.

This place has been opened for a few years, but just doesn’t get the play it should. It is at the end of a strip mall right off of the strip in Broad Ripple. The fact that it is hidden by Three Wise Men doesn’t help much. Also they have nada in the way of public out reach via a website or even Facebook. There is a “menu” on Urban Spoon but it is not even close. The food is listed as Mediterranean. Well no it’s not. It is a joint that offers both Mexican and what you might call Ameri-Mex breakfast food. The menu is huge. From pancakes, to skillet to enchiladas they have it. Oh and pancakes too. The last time anyone reviewed it was about 6 months ago. So It seems they are due for another review. With the name Biscuit in the name they better have some great biscuits. Right? Pat stayed clear of the Mexican style fare due to the onion content and opted for a half order of biscuits and gravy for $4.50. In addition to the half and full orders they also offer a single biscuit and gravy for $2,50. Several things caught my eye. They offer mole, green sauces and pastor. All of which I am a sucker for. I decided on the lunch chimichanga with shredded chicken and mole. The lunch comes with beans and rice and a small salad, topped with cream for $7.95. It was pretty good. The tortilla was full of juicy shredded chicken and the sauce was really pretty good. Slightly spicy from the chiles, a little sweet from the chocolate, a good execution. The beans and rice were decent. Probably better than what you normally get from a Mexican joint in Indy. All in all I would say that this is a solid choice for a lunch dish. Of course I had to try the biscuits and gravy. A single biscuit with spicy gravy. The biscuit was excellent. Large and fluffy. The gravy was good as well, just not real spicy. Of course they had several different bottles of hot sauces available to add to the kick. Once again my pictures don’t do the food justice. The mole comes out as black in the picture when it is a deep

From what I can tell, Biscuits flies somewhat under the local dining radar, tucked away as it is at the end of the Broad Ripple Station strip mall behind the much larger, much flashier Thr3e Wise Men. After an inaugural breakfast visit with the hubby, I've come to the conclusion that we've been overlooking this little gem for way too long. Biscuits in Broad Ripple The name is something of a misnomer; you wouldn't expect an authentic Mexican eatery to disguise itself under a name like "Biscuits." At least, I wouldn't. Don't be fooled. This is some yummy, rustic south-of-the-border food. The décor isn't anything fancy, just blue booths and tables and a couple televisions. Wasn't very busy mid-morning on a Wednesday, but the customers we did see were a pleasantly diverse group - business folks, Broad Ripple youngsters, an older couple. The gang's all here. I was a little intimidated when I got a peek at the size of the plates. Normally, I'm not a big breakfast eater. A bowl of cereal or

Biscuits is a safe bet to add to the rotation for breakfast—not sure about as a choice for Mexican yet. But I will certainly give it another try. But of course, it begs the question….what’s your favorite Mexican and/or breakfast joint in town? Biscuits Café

I've finally found a good Mexican breakfast place in this town...in Broad Ripple no less (a village notorious for its repugnant Mexican)...and open in time to fill up on the way to work (opens at 7am everyday including Sunday). Biscuits is located in the

Another long weekend nightshift came to an end and Libby was in the mood for breakfast! Something a little spicy, something a little homey. Fred and the kids decided to drive her drowsiness to Biscuits in Broadripple! Biscuits is probably in one of the best hidden locations in Broadripple. Right off the Monon in a strip mall with at least three other eateries AND behind the new Thr3e Wisemen Brewery, Biscuits has achieved maximum quaintness. You walk in to what feels like a 1950's neighborhood diner with a little hispanic flair. We like. The menu is straight up hangover heaven! And nightshift heaven, for that matter. Where can you find the usual diner breakfast fav's with lotsa mexican treats---Breakfast burrito with beans and rice, Spicey sausage gravy and biscuits, Breakfast Quesadilla, Breakfast chimichanga??? Hell-o, Nurse! This is what Libby is talking about!!! Fred decided the breakfast burrito was right up his alley this particular morning. On almost every other morning, Libby w
