Ever since I moved here to Indianapolis last July, I have been on the hunt for a new Ice Cream place. Back in Oklahoma, I always went to Braum's where you can create your own sundae with anything you want. But here in Indy, it's been a challenge to find a place that actually serves real Ice Cream (and not soft serve) with toppings. Sundae's is the first place I've found here that actually let's you create your own Sundae. The ice cream was very flavorful and not muted, the scoops were real actual scoops and not sticky little balls. You can get any type of topping, and they don't skimp! I had a double dip scoop (one scoop was amaretto chocolate cheesecake and the other was mocha chocolate chip) with hot caramel and heath bar sprinkles, topped with whipped cream and a cherry on top. If you haven't been, please do go to Sundae's Homemade Ice Cream!
Hands down the best ice cream place in Indy. The lemon Oreo is the best!!!
Excellent ice cream!!!!
Very rich and creamy. My wife got a
reese's peanut butter cup sundae, and I got a Turkish coffee milkshake.
They had many flavors, and it was difficult to choose. All sounded amazing. Very quick and polite staff. Definitely will be back again
Great tasting ice cream at this cute little shop. I absolutely loved my Reese's Mountain Sundae. Very friendly staff as well.
Me and my wife went there for the first time today. Great customer service and the area is very clean. I got the cookie monster flavor and it was great.
When we had a Celebration of Life for my brother in law, we wanted a sundae bar as this was his favorite treat. I reached out to Sundae’s Ice Cream. I dealt with Carlie Sanchez who was very attentive and help set up exactly what my sister wanted. The day of the service, the servers were on time and set up everything just as we asked. They were professional yet very warm and friendly. The ice cream was as delicious and the sundaes were decadent! Everyone who attended from young at age to young at heart, enjoyed. The sundae bar was a highlight of the event! We are so glad we used Sundae’s Ice Cream Shop. It was a great decision!
The ice cream at Sundae's is one word - addicting. The exterior and interior of the store are nothing special - standard run of the mill storefront. The staff are all very friendly and helpful - all younger and haven't been jaded by life (are jokes allowed in this review?).
Now, the ice cream. Creamy while frozen and runny when it hits hot air - tells me a couple things:
1. It's not overloaded with stabilizers
2. Plenty of cream in the ice cream - part of what makes it delicious
The flavors have been fantastic. Pictured are the banana cream pie and the raspberry limoncello cake...and they both taste what they say they're supposed to without being a sugar bomb. And they have pie crust (salty graham cracker) and cake in the ice cream.
Not pictured are the pistachio and key lime pie. Again, flavors are on point - especially that key lime pie, I love it when citric acid hits my tongue and causes my mouth to salivate. The pistachio was loaded with pistachios - can't be cheap.
The prices are definitely affordable/reasonable and the scoops are generous. At the time of this review, this is my benchmark for Indy.
We loved this ice cream! Absolutely delicious! The staff was very patient with us and helpful!
Introduced by some friends and honestly i was very impressed. The staff was friendly and every flavor Ive tried has been fantastic. Their ice cream is rich but not too rich (not a great description i know, sorry). Best one i have had so far is chocolate amaretto cheesecake. The main problem i have had there is indecision as so many flavors look good but I have also found some favorites already. If you are considering i would recommend it strongly. Though there is no indoor seating for guests so plan accordingly.
We live around the corner and Sundaes is our favorite ice cream! They always have a huge selection of flavors and are patient during your selection. Key lime is one of my favorite flavors for the summer and is always a great choice! There is parking in the strip mall area and 2 benches outside. A larger outdoor seating area would be fun, but regardless, Sundaes will remain our top recommendation for local ice cream! (They also sell coffee beans, which smells awesome.)
I was a little worried that after moving from Nashville my wife and I would never find ice cream as good as Jeni's. Sundae's it pretty darn close. Some of the best ice cream we've had in a while!
The best ice cream!! You can't go wrong with Graham Central Station... or Key Lime Pie... or Rainforest Crunch... you get the idea. This was my last stop before the shutdown during the pandemic. I needed this is my freezer.
