Great China Restaurant

New to SEK I was happy to find a Chinese food restraunt. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was not friendly or inviting (which seems out of character for this region.) We were not seated or spoken to on arrival just waved on to the next seating area despite a slow lunch hour. Even after speaking to a waitress I began to regret my decision. But the food did look nice. As far as flavor it was not bad but not amazing either. The prices were cheap.

Went here for lunch. We ordered from the dinner menu. Three sides: crab rangoon, egg roll, egg drop soup. Yummy, but soup comes w no crispy noodles, so my mother was disappointed. For my meal, i ordered House Fried Rice that was w shrimp and chicken. Chicken was VERY dry. Mom ordered Shrimp Lo Mein, but noodles weren't like lo mein ought to be. But it was otherwise just ok. We came here bc of the great reviews. We do not want to come back mostly bc the female server (the manager) was not friendly, just rude. And she wouldnt swap out my meal for something different. I still had to pay for undesirable food. The chicken was so dry, i asked for it to be taken back, no charge. We eat out a lot and i never leave reviews. But, this is the first time i was denied a replacement meal. She said no bc no one else complains. So i didn't have a meal, bc she was going to charge me for something new And the bad food Also. If the manager replies to this, saying anything otherwise, it's untrue. She said she'd rather me leave a bad review instead of replacing my meal. Will not come back, and will not recommend. Bad experience.

Love this restaurant! It’s some of the best Chinese cuisine I’ve had anywhere. The veggies are fresh and not overcooked. The egg drop soup, as so many other reviewers have stated, is wonderful. Moo goo gai pan is my favorite entree so far but I look forward to trying additional items. The combo plates are very reasonably priced and portions are good-sized. I’m going back again tonight!
