Ruma's Deli

I have always loved Ruma's Deli! Ordered the prosperity (not cooked, carryout to cook at home) and a fantastic house salad with buttermilk ranch dressing. The prosperity and gravy were delicious as I remembered from years ago. The gravy was very tasty and full of flavor. They gave us 3 complimentary chocolate chip cookies that were large and yummy! I will definitely be back!

I have two issues and wasn’t going to even write a review, but this evenings meal was the straw that broke the camels back. I believe I. Second chances So, I ordered a large ravioli , garlic cheese bread and a 32oz mt dew. Almost $20 and this is what I got. The first picture is what I opened the lid to. It was a watery based ravioli soup I thought. I couldn’t tell if it was four or five ravioli. After I removed all the water, it was four in a half ravioli. It was awful. Now I ordered this online at 8pm for a an 8:50pm pick up, but really there is no excuse for this. Last week I ordered a Chicago sandwich and it was cold, a dash of gravy and big chunks of jalapeños, nothing like I had before. This is normally a sandwich I love and didn’t even finish it. I don’t know what the deal is, but it apparently needs to be addressed.

Just went to pick up an order. They were friendly as always. I appreciated the fact that they offered to help me to my car since I had 1 full big bag, one small bag, and my 3 year old granddaughter. That gives big points. A lot of places don't pay attention enough to offer assistance. The food.... as good as always.

About a week to 10 days ago I called in a carry out order consisting of a large Prosperity (roast beef) sandwich, a large Dr. Pepper and a pint of their au'ju gravy. I had a 10 minute trip to get home to eat it. I commenced doing so and I immediately notice that the pint of gravy and that what they used on my sandwich was way, way over the top salty. I like salt on my food, perhaps too much, but this gravy was so way over the top salty I couldn't eat it. It would not of surprised me if someone wanted to intentionally ruin the gravy. I called there and told the gal that I was in no way attempting to get something for nothing and the only reason for my call was to save them from the embarrassment of getting any additional complaints. She stated, "Oh, OK!" and that was the extent of the conversation. No, we're sorry, we'll replace your order, NOTHING! Wasn't looking for that, though I should have been! I don't have the receipt, but that was approximately a +-$20.00 lunch that 95% of it had to go into the trash. I hadn't been there in a long time and was craving it so much. Can't tell how how disappointing that was!

6:57 pm Saturday, night manger told me pizza table was closed. Confused thanking pizza buffet, no closing pizza orders down before 7:00 on a Saturday night!!! After a brief conversation I managed to get a pizza order in barely. After Repeating my order three times no it still was wrong when I picked it up. My complaint is not with the food it’s with your employees, maybe drug testing might help
