Absolutely wonderful South American cacao beans made into the most wonderful and healthy chocolate! The owners were so friendly and helpful. They took the time to explain to us how true chocolate, derived from the cacao bean, really creates a traditional South American glorious chocolate experience!

Is it good? OMG, I wouldn't think of going to Idyllwild, California without stopping in here.
70% plus cacao chocolate in everything they make. Truthfully never have had such a terrific chocolate shake.
Friend bragged about the Chocolate bar for an hour.

Eric and family are the BEST! We also met Bean and fell in love with her Brownies. We make it up to Idyllwild every few years and we always stop in to visit and imbibe in the best chocolate ever!

Unbelievably delicious! Been to dozens of fresh coffee roasters but this was my first Cocoa roaster and WOW! The iced mocha coffee ... phenomenal. The owners are super personable and friendly. Really can't say enough good about this place.

This chocolate place is sweet. The chocolate is all made on sight made from cacao beans. Everything is 70% cacao and above to insure no dairy is added making the chocolate vegan and healthy.
There are many kinds of chocolate pieces to choose from along with drinks and milkshakes made with their homemade chocolate. They can also use dairy for this that enjoy that.
If you enjoy dark chocolate then this is aplace to grab some tasty chocolate and unique drinks

This homemade dark chocolate place is the best! It's family run and you can see where they make their own chocolate. They have milkshakes, truffles, bars, and more! They get their chocolate from several sources and they each have a distinct flavor difference. So good!! I recommend it for sure!

El Buen Cacao is a must stop Idyllwild destination! They offer fantastic bean to bar chocolate that they manufacture onsite. They make bars, truffles, fudge and drinks, with my favorite being the sipping chocolate. The owners are extremely passionate and friendly. The chocolate is delicious and I highly recommend stopping by!
