Yummy House

The Yummy House is our favorite Chinese restaurant in town, by far! The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious! Lo Mein is great, we love their General Tso's, and my kids always have the honey sesame chicken. We have been going here for 12 years and it has been run by the nicest husband and wife team. Love it!

We were in town for the weekend to see family, we wanted something a bit different than pizza or burgers. We found Yummy House on Yelp and I’m so glad we did! Service was a tad bit slow, you could tell the poor gal was working as hard as she could. The place was about 2/3 full when we arrived with our group of 9. We ordered mainly the combination dinners, some soup, and nuggets for one of our kids. The food was brought out separately which may annoy some folks, but it was perfect for us. The food was hot and fresh. Veggies were crisp and fresh. The meat was tender and excellent. All in all it was excellent, taste was great too! We live in utah, and we’ve decided we will need to bring some family back just to try the food.

I usually never write reviews but our experience was terrible and so was the food!!! This was our first time trying Yummy House. Do not go here! They were 45 minutes late on the time our take out order was agreed. We asked to make sure there were fortune cookies since it was New Year’s Eve. When we got our stuff no fortune cookies no chopstick no forks or napkins. My husband has celiac and I requested a gluten free meal. It was a breaded chicken. He had to leave the party and go find food from somewhere else!! After all that the food was just ok. Definitely ruined our New Year’s Eve!! I had sad kids without fortunes to read and a husband without dinner. I felt like a failure.

The waitress was very friendly and took good care of us. The food came quickly and was delicious. The beef was tender and had great flavor. The fried rice was average and didn't have a lot of flavor. The rangoons were amazing. I had never had them before. The restaurant was quiet but clean and cozy. I would definitely go back.

We visited the restaurant on a weeknight. I was very impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff. The food was absolutely delicious. From the wonton soup to the pot stickers to the entrees were absolutely fresh and delicious. Haven't had this kind of Chinese food since I left California. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants good Chinese food.
