Golden Krust

I’m not sure what’s wrong with the cashier but she’s been getting on my nerves and this is only my second time being at this store. Her customer service is nonexistent! Her being the cashier; the “face” of the business is not a wise decision. Like, it wouldn’t kill you to say please and thank you! Her mannerisms and demeanor is just off putting. Personally, I wouldn’t be back mainly because of her attitude but also, because the food is mediocre… it’s just okay. 7/11 got better Pattie’s anyway! The supervisor/ manager needs to work with her and her attitude. I’m the girl who walked in with the white eye liner that got patties and oxtails.

First & foremost I’m a fan of Golden Krust however this location just doesn’t do it for me. When I’m in Brooklyn I literally have nothing to worry about when it’s comes to food being cooked fresh etc. however when it comes to the location it’s Hyattsville, the dinner entrees always taste like they were frozen the night before and warmed back up and severed to the customers. Half of the container would be hot while the other half is cold and that’s very upsetting considering the fact that I come from quite a way just to support one of my favorite restaurants. I’ve had this experience with the oxtail & brown stew on multiple occasions. The only thing that’s consistent is the bun & cheese, hard dough bread & beef patty’s…….. other than that the entrees always end up being okay or just a complete miss, never on point. Please do better !!!!

I can agree with 99% of other reviews. No customer service. I didn't feel warm and happy when I came inside. In fact, two people received their food as I was waiting at the counter to be greeted or to have my order taken. They just pushed me right on out the way. I find that to be ridiculous! Eventually, the lady comes over and has this disposition like she's doing too much. She might be but, not my problem. As for the food, I ordered curry chicken. It's waay too spicy for me and I don't care for all the large bones. To add insult to injury, the meat closest to the bone wasn't even cooked all the way through!!! BIG NO NO! I will not be returning ever.

I went to Golden Krust on Monday in the afternoon. I was feigning for some curry shrimp and this place did not disappoint! I walked in and was greeted by the Cashier with a friendly smile and a great attitude. She gave me time to look over the menu and was patient with questions I had. I ordered my food and she told me it would take about 10 minutes. Sure enough, it did and they remembered that I was the one who recently made that order. The food was piping hot and was a great portion of Shrimp, Rice and peas and cabbage. I did not eat the food until I got home and it was AMAZING!! I gave my boyfriend a bite and he was begging me to share it with him! It had a spice to it but not too much that it was overwhelming. I am writing this because I plan on going back today after the gym - THE FOOD WAS THAT GOOD. Will continue to come back. I heard their Stew Chicken was even better so that is next on my list. Great job Golden Krust.
