Mcalister's Deli

I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. It was very clean when we arrived outside and inside. It was not crowded. They had lots of items to choose from including desserts. We ordered the Italian sandwich and upgraded from chips to soups. He had the country potato and I had the broccoli and cheese. We also had sweet tea. We ordered extra pickles. We set outside in the cool breeze and enjoyed the sunset. This is a very nice place to have a date. The menu is not overpriced and the food is super delicious. This was by far the best Italian sandwich I've eat in a long time! The bread was toasted perfectly. Cheese was melted perfectly throughout the sandwich. It was loaded with fresh vegetables and tasty meats. The sweet tea was not over sweet or under sweet. These soups were piping hot and super delicious. I would highly recommend the broccoli and cheese soup especially. I wasn't too keen on the cucumber tomato and onion salad. Fresh it was but the taste was not there for me. Everything else was super delicious. The atmosphere was very inviting. The manager walked out later as we were finishing our meal and asked if everything was okay and to let him know if we needed anything. So I can say the service here is great. The restrooms were clean. The parking lot was clean. The view is nice. I definitely will dine here again.

This was the best and biggest sandwich I have ever ate. I got the king sandwich without pork, because I am allergic to pork. I know that's a sad thing to say but it is what it is. I would definitely suggest you try this hidden gem and get the ham and bacon on it, if you're not allergic. My husband and Dad say it was amazing!

Grubsouth had messed up my wife's order the picture is what was delivered. She called the store and spoke to the manager who made the sandwich and he saw it and said that that was not the way that it had left. They replaced the order with no problems. The staff is extra nice and helpful. 7/10 would recommend.

My experience at this McAlister's Deli was not pleasant at all. We went around lunch time, it wasn't busy (which I thought was a little odd). We had trouble finding a place to sit because almost every table was covered in plates. We thought that maybe they just had a rush, so we thought we'd give them a chance. We were there for AN HOUR, and all of the plates were still there when we left. The plates were there when we arrived, so there's no telling how long they'd been sitting there. That's nasty and how you get bugs!! It took them over 20 minutes to bring us our food. My soup was cold (it also had a macaroni noodle in it that wasn't supposed to be there) and my sandwich was also cold and overcooked. As far as friendliness goes, the lady at the register (I'm assuming the manager) was VERY rude. She was being rude to not only us, but also the employees working there!! That's not how you keep customers or employees. I have been to other locations where my experience was completely different. It took no more than 15 minutes to get HOT food, as well as friendly employees, and plates didn't just sit there for over an hour. *I've only included pictures of the tables you could see from where we were sitting.

I ordered a club and broccoli cheese soup combo. I am allergic to tomatoes. Asked for no tomatoes. When my tongue started feeling slightly itchy, I looked at the rest of my club. They had picked tomato off, and left tomato seeds on my sandwich. So I ate all the soup. It wasn't hot, but I ate it anyway. I suffered food poisoning about 2 hours later. Vomiting. The whole works. I wouldn't risk my life there again. But good tea.

Their tea is fantastic, their staff, not so much. I remember when McAlister's was at Whitesburg and Airport. Those where the restaurant's glory days, apparently. The dining room floor was SUPER dirty. Also, there is a terrible smell in the woman's bathroom. It smells like an open sewer. It's NASTY in there! This has been going on for months. Always makes me gag and wonder why I gave them yet another chance! They do have a nice eating area outside, and their new Mushroom/Steak sandwich is good. They need to clean the place and hire employees who like to work there.
