Cajun Steamer

This place is simply amazing. The menu was fabulously put together and it was really refreshing. They had both indoor and outdoor seating. Finding a place to park can be difficult due to its location alongside other restaurants and shops.the service was great, the people were friendly and the food was quick! Will be back for more as their menu had so many great options that it was difficult to choose.

Late review. But this has since been resolved. But the food was horrible. It was bland and not authentic Cajun or creole food. Highly dissatisfied based on the reviews I thought it was going to be a great experience. I spent 75 dollars on food because I was so excited. Thank god Grubhub refunded my money. So my review is a caution to everyone who is thinking of eating here. I added pics. I had pasta- no spice not even pepper, fried shrimp and fries of course it was soggy by the time I got it, the donuts was horrible, and I had ordered the wings as a backup if the pasta wasn’t good. BUT even the wings wasn’t good. Complete waste of money. Beware as a patron and to the restaurant please add spice to your dishes and if you receive a pickup order at least cook the fries last. But the packaging was very good! However I would say use less plastic. Being environmentally is important

My husband and I decided to try this place and it was delicious. I had to the bourbon fettuccine and he had the Melvin chicken. Both were excellent but honestly his was better. All of the flavors combine: the potatoes with the perfectly seasoned chicken and sautéed onions with hint of hickey bacon and THAT SAUCE!!!LAWD! Definitely coming back to try other items on menu.

The Cajun Steamer is a great place for good Cajun food. The menu had a good variety of dishes that made it hard for me to choose. I ended up getting the Cajun Pastalaya and "Babay" when I tell you it was amazing! It had just the right amount of kick to let me know I was down south. Our service was great also. We sat at the bar but I observed how the staff interacted with other patrons and I would recommend the Cajun Steamer if you are ever in Huntsville.

The oysters were amazing. So fresh and delicious. The blackened red fish over coconut rice topped with mango salsa with asparagus was phenomenal, only problem was I wanted to keep eating it once it was gone! The gumbo was FANTASTIC! Will absolutely be back whenever I’m in the area! Service was also stellar, Kelsey did an absolutely fantastic job. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious meal in the area. Came back the next day to try more and tried the grilled gator bites and got the Creole blackened ribeye with blackened shrimp. The gator bites were tender and juicy, delicious. The ribeye actually blew me away! It was seasoned magnificently and grilled to a PERFECT medium rare. Insanely juicy and so tender, I couldn’t eat it fast enough. The shrimp did not disappoint either. Seems everything here is delicious. Had Kelsey take care of me again, and she was equally as good the second time around. Don’t miss out on Cajun Steamer when you’re in the area! Highly recommend.
