Dix Hills Diner

This is one of the best diners in the area. They pride themselves on the variety, freshness and quality of their food. Everything always so fresh and portions are generous. Great steak, the place is clean and it is reasonably priced. Also, the waiter was a really nice. I would absolutely come back here and recommend it

I love this diner! It's the perfect place to go for a delicious, family-friendly meal. The omelets are my favorite, with so many different options to choose from. I also love the gyro platter, which is always fresh and flavorful. The service is always exceptional, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. I love taking my kids to the diner, too. They always have a great time choosing from the kids' menu, and the staff is always happy to make sure that they have everything they need. DH diner is the perfect place to go for a delicious, affordable, and family-friendly meal. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat!

I like this diner been there several times recently. They have good. Choices, everything I tried or my friends tried were very good and served well . I noticed their ladies room was very clean and they have someone cleaning it and checking it out every hour!!! VThere was a checklist on the wall that had to be initialed. I witnessed that event. What a good idea. I look forward to going back and trying something else.

Our family went to a festival in Huntington one Saturday morning in September. We stumbled upon the Dix Hills Diner and it was one of the best decisions we made. we were greeted immediately and served instantly given we have a baby and on borrowed time. The server was beyond accommodating and patient with all my questions i have (which i have many of). He was attentive and would continue to ask after having our food, if we needed anything. My husband had the French toast which he could not stop talking about since. They were delicious and the diner also gave him real maple syrup not the artificial packets most diners serve. He was beyond impressed by that. I ordered a fresh Turkey spinach tomato egg white omelette and that was also delicious and exactly what i wanted. At the end of our meal, the server came by and brought us a piece of the diner’s homemade baked on premise rainbow cake on the house! Can i say delicious and so beyond grateful for that generosity! We went back again last weekend and enjoyed our meal again. We will continue to make a trip here when in the area.

This is my first time eating at this diner and it was a great experience… This was a meetup for a professional business group, I was invited to be apart of by a dear friend.. We worked together in our law enforcement careers.. Now he’s an attorney & I’m a real estate broker associate. We met with the other members of the group which consists of an insurance agent, surgeon, private investigator, medical media professional, professional baseball coach & referee and two other attorneys. Our waiters Aristedes & Dennis are great host and friendly.. The food was great and the service top notch… They also have some good pastries! Excellent location and good parking, I’d definitely recommend eating here!

We love our local diner! DHD is always a good choice. Large diner-style menu with large daily special lists also, and all-day breakfast. We stopped in for lunch yesterday and had two specials, a spicy shrimp hero sandwich and a steady sandwich. Both were sizable and delicious. (Dix Hills Dinner also often throws a couple of onion rings in orders of fries, which is always a fun surprise.) Our kids split a chicken finger kids’ meal. The kids’ meals all come with the option of ice cream for dessert, and our server was so kind that he brought two dishes of ice cream, one for each kid. The ice cream was also very good! Not just a cheap soft serve, but real scoops of quality vanilla ice cream. Everything is clearly made with very quality ingredients. The taste is always excellent. If you’re in the mood for classic American diner-style, I can’t recommend the Dix Hills diner highly enough.

Never a bad meal here! My family loves their home made cheesecake selection! When we have gatherings we will order by the pie! Wife was craving their rice pudding late at night... Photo showed we had something else in mind Food is fresh, place and service is clean! Late night snack turned into full blown dinner with breakfast 🤣
