So as you may or may not know I love to find new restaurants. A friend of mine called up and asked if I wanted to go to lunch with him so we went to this little tiny Mexican place in huntington From the outside you would have never known this place existed. There is no signage on the outside other than what you can see in the windows. It is a true authentic little Mexican joint with about eight tables inside and two outside. There is no air conditioning on the inside but it was a perfect day so we sat outside. I had three chicken tacos. I had really great flavor and we're enough for a lunch. My friend had 2 chicken tacos a steak taco and something else which had sausage in it. My three tacos and Snapple were $13. I thought it was a great price for lunch and would definitely come back. The lady inside couldn't have been nicer. Very friendly.

Hidden gem. Don't let the simple exterior fool you. There is some really good food inside.

This is such a homey vibe. They don’t force you to pay or anything. You take your time. I go once a week and they are so nice. Definitely a great spot to stop when you are at the mall.

This is by far my favorite taco place on Long Island. If you want authentic taco, this is the place to go. No hipster stuf is happening here. Real Great Mexican 🌮

Was in Long Island for the day and was checking for a Mexican place. Read the other reviews and this place did not disappoint. True authentic Mexican food, with a great cook. Only about 5 tables for seating. Flavorful and plentiful for a good price.

As soon as I walked in, the aroma of “delicious” hit my senses! I was immediately greeted by the owner, who couldn’t have been more friendly. My order was ready sooner than quoted and was hot and fresh! This establishment doesn’t waste energy on frills- its not fancy but you can tell they put love into the food they put out. Prices are fair- I’d even say inexpensive, especially considering the high quality and fresh AUTHENTIC Mexican cuisine they are cooking up. I HIGHLY recommend the chimichangas meal. It’s honestly the best Mexican food I’ve had since I moved to NY!

The vibe of this place is: auntie made you a plate. I’m from LA, so I appreciate that. This is not a fancy, polished corporate eatery. It feels like you’re in someone’s living room waiting for the flautas to come out of the fryer. The novelas are on, the radio is on, the plates are paper. I got the guacamole with chips, a jarritos, and a combo plate with a flauta, tamale and enchilada for $23. The chips are hot, the salsa is spicy, and really everything is just right. It’s not groundbreaking but there’s a comfort to the whole experience that is ineffable and special.

This is the best authentic Mexican in this area! Felix and his family will take care you of - everyone who works here is lovely and this restaurant has been serving this community for decades (FOR GOOD REASON).

I've come here for YEARS. It's a goto place for lunch and an occasional dinner on the cheap. The owner is the NICEST guy, takes pride in his restaurant. It is always clean, otherwise I wouldn't eat here. The food is stick-to-your-bones Mexican that will last you all day. Highly recommend! Update: I've been coming here for 25 years. I still love the food and so does my vegetarian wife. They make her vegetarian burritos and guacamole she can't get enough of.

We are a family of Mexican Food fanatics and have been to countless restaurants coast to coast. Los Compadres has forever been one of our favorite Mexican Restaurants anywhere we've been and is hands down the best and most authentic on Long Island. We've been eating there since they opened which was probably around 25 years ago and it has remained superb from the beginning to the present and is still owned by the same family.

Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant on Long Island! The food is fresh, authentic and delicious! The owner is the nicest man... he makes you feel like you're a guest in his own home. This place is small but absolutely worth a try. You're going to love it!!!

Easily the best authentic Mexican food place in the area. The owners are personable and kind, and it reflects directly in the quality of their food. Cash, Visa and MasterCard only accepted here. Quick service around lunchtime; occasionally a wait at dinner time. Highly recommend!

Have been going to this place many years working in the area. It’s a bit tough to find but once you do it’s a staple. They don’t have fish or shrimp items but the rest of the items are true to the experience. The cashier who I believe is the owner is always happy and smiling. Great place. Defiantly try the guacamole and chips.
