This is real and legit Italian food - the way it should be made. Small intimate and very personal, if you want to eat real Italian cuisine, this is the place. Wine is well priced, the chef often serves you and you can sit inside or out. We must have eaten there more than 20 times and never had a bad experience. Cannot recommend enough.

I'm always on the look out for a great meatball sandwich. I found this place Doordashing & returned for a take out order a couple of weeks later.
The restaurant is small but tastefully decorated. Also have a tented dining area out front too. Looking around I didn't get the impression it was dirty or unsanitary. The night I ordered was a Tues. & quiet along with all restaurants that night.
I ordered a meatball sandwich. It came with a small fresh garden salad with tomatoes, onions, & cucumbers. Also perfectly cooked french fries. The sandwich was delicious! The bread was toasted, perfect amount of sauce. The meatballs were firm and tasty with melted cheese on top. My sandwich wasn't cold, nor did it get soggy. I could only finish half of it tonight.
Each order comes with a complimentary dessert (who does that anymore)! I choose cheesecake for my boyfriend. All the way around I consider the meal a good value. The personnel were extremely friendly & made you feel comfortable.
I'll be back & will refer others also. I'm suspicious of the multiple reviews with the low ratings & complaints of the area dangerous. There's homeless people everywhere these days. I didn't see anybody but if you're inside is unlikely they are going to bother you.

Piccolo Stivale is an absolutely fantastic restaurant. The staff are quick and kind throughout the whole experience, and the food itself is phenomenal. The fettuccine alfredo here was the best I have ever had, and the complimentary dessert is great too. I highly recommend Piccolo Stivale to anyone that has the ability to eat there.
MOST AWESOME ITALIAN! Authentica to the core.... Amazing Italian Salads, Soups, Sandwiches and my Favorite is the Italian Sub. But who would forget the Incredible Spaghetti.... Nice Clean Restaurant with very friendly owners. What else do you need to have the best time in the world!
Amazing chicken fettuccini Alfredo and the service was exceptional (I think Georgina was my server’s name). Would definitely frequent this place if I lived in the area.
I visited this restaurant yesterday and it's was my first time there. The gal was really nice and friendly over the phone and in person.
I order the meatballs spaghetti and some garlic bread. It's was so delicious🍝 😋
She also gives us a complimentary sweet dessert 🍮😍😋 it's was so so good. It tasted kind of like flan.
Base on experience we will definitely be coming back here for more delicious foods 🥰🙂😋

The dinner was excellent. Dinner come with bread and salad. The salad dressing was very delicious. The main Rigatoni was excellent. Sauce was very smooth and creamy but not heavy. Love it. The servers were very friendly. They were a little shy but very comfortable services. We used them to cater our daughter’s engagement party. Food was wonderful and our guests had a great time.
This place is the ONLY truly authentic Italian food I've had the pleasure to enjoy in all of Orange County. Maybe even So. California. Everything, and I mean everything on the menu is such an amazing mouth party, there aren't enough adjectives to praise this gem!! The staff is perfectly attentive. Knowledgeable on the menu and wines. My husband and I eat here regularly and when I say eat, I mean indulge.. and still our bill has not ever been more than $55. Appetizer, salads, main courses, wine and dessert?? I mean WHAT?! You won't get more bang for your buck and a truly authentic Italian meal anywhere else!! And this is coming from a truly authentic Italian woman 😍👍
All those fake reviews irritate me. We've been here several times and have ALWAYS received excellent service and high quality meals at reasonable prices. There is a dance studio near by and a family friendly park behind. THIS is the real Basilico's.
