Review Three Monkies - Huntington Beach

Tasty food, good service, and polite staff. They also have low sodium soy sauce, which I don't see in many local sushi bars. I will be coming back. Edit: added photo of Stinky Roll to my review. Consistent good meals from them. Edit 03/03/2023: added photo of Volcano Roll; a flavorful roll with scallops, mayo, and a california roll.

The place is a little ran down or dated, service was good and fast. We ve been there 4 times already and I have to say the food is good and fresh but for me it lacks flavor. Overall, a nice local, family Sushi spot.

Great local spot for authentic Japanese sushi!! Been coming here for years with my parents and Yoshi (the sushi chef) has always been attentive. He remembers my allergy to gluten and will make appropriate substitutions to the menu items so that I can enjoy them. Thank you for years of good dinning!

We have been enjoying Yoshi's wonderful sushi for years. the service is great and the sushi bar is beautiful. Looking forward to the covid lift so we can go back. for now, it's takeout. still so good...

Four stars only because of the Sushi chef. I realize that different cultures interact with people differently, but Yoshi is not very welcoming at ALL. He never greets us at the sushi bar, he always responds as though he is being inconvenienced, he makes u move your seat at the bar to accommodate seating but literally says, "move over" even if there is no on else there. He does not make any exceptions or adjustments to food, and he just does not make the people I bring feel welcome. His tone when he does speak comes across as if he's irritated, it never fails and I have visited at least 20 times, always hoping he may have a better day but to no avail. THE FOOD IS AMAZING!! I recommend the stinky roll, especially if you like garlic, it is simply delicious and one of a kind. I have yet to find anything that compares at any other sushi establishment and I've been looking for years. The tuna sliders are also one of my top picks here.

Best Sushi place in Huntington! We bring our three monkeys (kids) there all the time :) Family friendly and great prices. The staff is always welcoming and Yoshi is one talented sushi chef! Thanks for feeding us!

Been going here for years. Having been born and raised in Japan I can say that Three Monkeys is the authentic real deal! Fresh sushi, and plenty of tasty Japanese dishes on the menu aside from sushi. The nay sayers have no idea what they are taking about. The people who work here have always been extremely attentive and polite. A true gem in Orange County!

Super cool, family run business. Yoshi, and his wife, are typically present when we are there... Sashimi is cut thick, rolls are creative and tasty. Gotta do the stinky roll, so good!

This place is absolutely the Best Japanese Food in the US!!! Three Monkeys is the real deal not some knock off wanna be sushi, this is real authentic Japanese food like you'd get in some high end restaurant in Japan. The staff is super nice and friendly, and the Asahi beer is always super ice cold. My favorite is the poke salad, tataki roll and the kama , but everything on the menu is delicious!!!!

Honestly some of the best Japanese food I’ve ever had. This is not some cheapo stuff this is actual legitimate Japanese food. The waiters are nice, and the best part is that yoshi is willing to cook up anything for you. To be honest I’d recommend everything on the menu.

LOVE 3 Monkeys, sushi tastes great but is rolled terribly, consistently guaranteed both. Killer prices & very nice wait staff. Chefs pretty grumpy tho, recommend sitting at a table instead of sushi bar.

I've been here a couple of times, and I really enjoyed everything that I tried! The rainbow roll was yummy, the teriyaki salmon was pretty good, and the poke salad was very good. I'll be coming back again, soon!
