Review Lsxo - Huntington Beach

This was my second time at LSXO and just like the first time, it didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is great and the food is even better. We started with the dumplings and I would suggest that to anyone going there. The sauce that came with it also went well with the rest of our food. It’s a small place so you get a very personal feel with the serving staff. I counted 6 tables plus the bar top of 4 seats. Amazing view of the beach while you dine. Overall if you looking for a nice place for a date night, look no further. Just make sure you make a reservation ahead of time.

LSXO truly delivered an unforgettable dining experience that exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was incredible, and the music selection was on point. If you're not a fan of rap or explicit lyrics, this may not be the place for you, but for me, it added to the edgy and unique ambiance of the restaurant. The menu was diverse and exquisite, with the spring rolls being a standout dish. The pork was exceptionally crispy, making for an incredibly satisfying bite. The tomato rice brought back fond memories of my grandmother's cooking, a testament to the authenticity and quality of the flavors at LSXO. The dumplings were another highlight, cooked to perfection with a scrumptious sauce and Chinese sausage that elevated the dish to a whole new level. While the crispy rice with fried egg was a bit adventurous for my taste, I would still recommend giving it a try if you're feeling daring. The sea bass lettuce wraps were an absolute favorite. The perfect crispy texture of the fish paired with a sauce that had just the right amount of spice made for an unforgettable dish. The cocktails were a massive highlight, offering smooth, refreshing, and creative concoctions that complemented the meal perfectly. Lastly, the service at LSXO was top-notch, with attentive and professional staff ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience. I have absolutely no complaints and cannot wait to return to this Michelin-starred gem.

Love love love everything about this place! Been coming to this spot since 2017 and everytime they never disappoint. Music is fun old school hip hop that will always get your head nodding. Top food items for me are the pork and shrimp dumplings, papaya salad and the shaky shaky beef. I am a little disappointed that they removed my favorite drink off the menu. Bring Jessica Rabbit back!!

IF YOU'RE LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET A TABLE! It was amazing dinner and experience! I was very lucky to have gotten a seat at the private bar area. Place was booked solid and not crowded... Very intimate and awesome vibes. I recommend sharing and trying all the creations. Loved everything about the food, also the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

I'd been wanting to check this place out since it opened a few years ago, and omg, I'm so glad I saved it for a special occasion! I love that this is such a private, small, intimate setting, and you **must** make your reservation to watch the sunset. The way the huge picture window overlooks the beach, and that glorious queen palm 🌴 makes for an even more exquisite experience. I'm quite sure we had the best seat in the house! That was the best papaya salad and shaky-shaky beef I've ever had, and I cannot wait to go back to try the rest of the entire menu! Follow me on the regular @dreamtreecoaching on IG.

really enjoyed my experience here. pleasant atmosphere, super cozy and the staff are friendly and attentive. lots of different things on the menu - but would recommend the dry lamb skewer egg noodle and papaya salad along with the crispy shrimp!

I was happy to find the food to have authentic Vietnamese flavors with the fish sauce, taste of limes, Thai chilies, and all the herbs and veggies! Tasty and well prepared. The space is small but has gorgeous ocean views. Relaxed lounge-y atmosphere. My one gripe is that they use the wooden fast-tood type chopsticks. Would have liked nicer ones to match the restaurant vibe and other metal utensils. Didn't like the feel of those chopsticks at all

Love the vibes, service and food. Make sure you make a rsvp as seating is limited . This place was such a vibe and was playing such good music . Ordered the papaya salad, Shaky shaky beef, fried sea bass and beef tartare and the pear tart . EVERYTHING was delicious.

We had an amazing experience here at LSXO, from the beginning to the end was absolutely incredible. Service was great, knowledgeable staff and great suggestions, we tried escargot bone marrow, lamb dish, pork belly dish, salmon sashimi, and shaken beef dish ,papaya salad and spring rolls with some great drinks. Well done , definitely going back.

First impression: a bit posh. We saw some Asian folks in there and thought that's a good sign. We arrived in beach clothing on our way to the beach looking for a quick lunch. We are food lovers, so decided to go for it. We weren't disappointed! The shaky shaky steak medallions were excellent, a fine soy based garlic taste makes it a creamy dream. The chicken salad was fresh, crunchy, filled up with 1000 different Asian tastes. The lemon chicken (for one kid) was like eating sunshine - very soft, tender, fresh with a strong lemon grass taste. The chicken soup (for kid no. 2) was very basic, like a basic chicken soup should taste. In general: both thumbs up. Very delicious food ad an nice place with chilling music.

Be sure to make a reservation so you don't have to deal with the rude hosts! My husband and I almost walked out due to how the hosts treated us when we asked to get seated for lunch at LSXO. They acted like it would be extremely difficult to accommodate a party of two due to their reservations. Took them 20 minutes to decide if they wanted to seat us or not (it was not busy). We finally walked back to the restaurant and sat at the bar, since the host stated that was the only thing available. Which we were completely fine with since we had intended to only get drinks and an appetizer. We were given a time limit, again due to reservations. We stayed for about 3 hours (over the time limit hehe) and only 2 other tables had customers the entire time. I really feel the hosts need to be trained better, as they act like they are doing you favors when you're a paying customer. With that being said, the bartender, other staff, food & drinks were AMAZING! It was a great experience and we can't wait to go back. Be sure to ask for suggestions, they will let you know of some great options :)

It is no exaggeration when I say this is now my favorite restaurant. The whole ambiance of LSXO is a cozy intimate vibe with unobstructed views of the ocean. A perfect spot to fully enjoy sunset with an old school hip hop soundtrack. Now on to the best part, the food! Not a single morsel passed my lips that was not utter perfection. For drinks we has The Butterfly Effect and Hattori Hanzo. Both perfectly made. For appetizers we ordered Steak Tartare and dumplings. The dumplings were so delicious I forgot to take a picture until we were nearly done. The beef tartare was a complete surprise to me. I really was not expecting to like it given the texture but the flavor was so good I couldn’t resist. (Not pictured) We ordered the Lamb Satay which was just incredible. The noodles and lamb had what I consider a sweet curry sauce. We had to force ourselves to stop eating it and leave room for the steak. Now the 40oz Tamahawk steak is one imposing piece of meat. This was literally the reason we came to LSXO. Pictures do not do this steak justice. Please note it takes about 45 minutes to prepare so do not wait to put in your order. I guarantee you it is worth it! Every inch of this steak is tender and delicious. The menu says it feeds 2-3 people, but depending on how many appetizers or sides you order, it could feed a couple more. We finished off with the Tiramisu, an iced Vietnamese Coffee and a cappuccino. The Tiramisu was hands down the best I have had anywhere. It was so perfectly silky and not overly sweet/rich. Top all this off with a kind attentive staff and this is now my favorite restaurant.

The best speakeasy of Huntington Beach. This place is always a hit! We have partnered with them a number of times and each time they go above and beyond with creating an incredible experience for us and our guests. Bartending - 10/10 Food - 10/10 Atmosphere - 10/10 Service - 10/10 Price - 10/10 It's impossible to get a food picture because it is devoured the minute it hits the plate.

Cozy little spot with GREAT views and great cocktails! The staff are friendly with great timing and great menu recommendations. I always appreciate when a server can "read" the table and provide great and attentive service without too much of an interruption. If timing is everything, this place is it! The family style menu is great with tons of options for dinner and dessert, don't leave without trying the prawns. Great spot for date night or drinks with the girls! 👑🍸🍷

Okay, if you can get in here it’s AMAZING!!! The food, the drinks, the ambience, the service… this place is absolutely top notch. The shaky shaky beef melts in your mouth and the drinks bring back speakeasy flavors you never knew existed. The view is over the ocean and the sexy vibe is pervasive. We try to eat here at least once a month and we order extras so we can take home meals and have it the next day. If you’ve found this gem… you’re lucky!

Little restaurant hidden inside another larger restaurant. There's only 6 tables available so call in for reservations. Nice environment with great mix of music. The food is good, but on the saltier side. Service is great. They messed up on one of our orders where we said no spicy. We didn't mention it at all and the waitress later noticed herself the chef added peppers, so they made us another one. Try the sticky rice cubes.

I had a great time at LXSO. I heard it was a speakeasy but to be honest it didn't have that "hidden door" built into a bookcase or phone booth or walk in refrigerator rather it was just two doors. Once you walk in it's wonderfully decorated very upscale with beautiful views of the ocean. The drinks were pretty good, Asian inspired ingredients with artfully placed garnishes. The food was delicious! I had the Asian dry noodles sitting on top of coconut milk and pickled veggies. Truly a party in my mouth.

What’s fantastic experience. When you walk through the “secret” door you enter another magical world. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. Loved it!!!

A five star experience. Had seafood rice similar to paella with black rice - unbelievably delicious. Also had softshell crab sandwich with fried green tomato. Wow! Beautiful setting, gorgeous view, smart presentation all made me a future regular. Limited, expensive wine list but they offer corkage services -$25.

We've been here before and it continues to deliver with great food and extraordinary service. I had booked this a week out for a Monday evening and the only reservation I could get were two seats at the bar. The food and service quickly made up for any discomfort. Papaya salad, octopus carpaccio ,salmon in a clay pot and prawns with pork ribs made everything better.

Booked a table yesterday for my birthday. This used to be my fav for Vietnamese food but yesterday sucked. We ordered pho banh cuon, imperial rolls, shaky shaky beef - too salty, bo kho - too spicy and catfish - tasteless. The only two things that tasted good were pho banh cuon and the cocktail. When I complained, the waistress asked me like have you ever dined here before?. I wouldn't book a restaurant that I hadn't tried for my birthday!! When I wanted to order desserts, she gave me the check. Rude! Not coming back.

Good food. Authentic. Reasonable price. Great view and ambiance. Terrible service from both girls working yesterday morning. If not for them I'd give this place a 5 star. Bartender was nice. Drinks were spot on.

Fantastic little "hidden" gem of a restaurant! Food and service was great! VERY COOL atmosphere. Love the decor inside. Perfect for a date night. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend if you are open to Asian fusion cuisine. We loved it!

Crazy awesome food, magical ambience, all around perfect evening. LSXO will not disappoint. Come for the excellent Vietnamese food, stay for the sublime ocean views and decor. Excellent marks to the staff and chefs.

5 star on ambience 4 food 5 Service Price is not that bad at all - extremely reasonable $$ Overall 5 stars �����, better then most places that are not in Bolsa- can't expect VN food to be better then Bolsa anywhere else! Not even if you are in Vietnam. Ingredients are top notch !! Look at those prawns �

Beautiful secluded room, great views. First experience with Vietnamese food, servers were very helpful with descriptions and recommendations. Octopus appetizer, sea bass and beef entrees were fabulous. Portions allowed for leftovers that were just as good the next day. Will definitely be back!
