First time coming here and it was a great experience! The sushi was very fresh and super tasty and so were the deserts. The service was excellent, we ordered hot sake and they were out so they gave us a cold bottle of sake of our choice on the house! I highly recommend this place and cant wait to come back and try their teppanyaki.
Family fave. Great tappan with unique flavors. We are obsessed with the parmesan noodles that come with their tappan plates. Everything I've ordered here has been great. I've had the veggie tempura, sushi, tappan chicken steak shrimp and scallops. All wonderful. Great entertainment for the whole family. Friendly wait staff. Great full bar with premium offerings. Price is pretty typical if not a good value.
We have been coming here for over 20 years. The food is still amazing, even under the new owners, but the customer service is not what is used to be. So let’s focus on the food. We sat at Teppan for my sons birthday. First course was miso soup. Can’t go wrong there. Salad is delicious, we love their dressing. Fried rice followed by noodles was up next. The noodle are my favorite. I ordered fillet mignon and scallops. The filet melts in your mouth, you don’t even need to chew it. Veggies were up last with sweet carrots. Yummy. So glad I split my meal with my mom. It is so much food. The ambiance is great and the chef was quite funny. Highly recommend Tsuami Sushi for Teppanyaki if you are looking for great food!
Carol is the best! I was making jokes with her to cook our food so we're could enjoy get company. Jon cooked for us and he was fantastic!
Great happy hour and all night happy hour Monday and Thursday, half price Tuesdays , great food and good value!
I've been here many times over the years and keep finding reasons to come back. Great atmosphere. Fantastic food! The nightly specials keep the prices reasonable. Reading the reviews below offering less then 4 or 5 stars I find a lot of the everybody gets a trophy crowd simply looking for reasons to complain.
New owners? It was a nice experience but i was disappointed in the fried rice at the teppan table. The fried rice we ordered to take home was better. Great happy hour prices on sake n beer. The rest of the food was great n the cook was nice.
I went here yesterday after not going in 2 years, due to poor portion sizes. But they have definitely improved, the food was amazing, with tons of left overs, plus we got complimentary ice cream! I would definitely go again soon.
I had fun here! My girlfriend I don't eat out that much and live in Long Beach. Feeling adventurous we figured we'd try something new and came here. We sat at the sushi bar and were greeted by the Chef Joseph. What a fun guy he turned out to be and he made us feel very comfortable. We've ate at places before where the Sushi Chef was quiet, hardly speaking and frankly made us feel uncomfortable. Not the case here for sure thanks to Joseph. Everything he recommended, we found to be fresh and full of flavor. He even took the time to prep our orders with just the right amount of wasabi and soy sauce...a little detail that really went a long way as far as service goes. 2 hours later after laughing and a little drinking we left with full bellies. We look forward to coming back.
This place rocks. Eddie the bartender is the best. the happy hour is amazing and the vibe is great. plus its just 100 yards to the beach. I mean really what more do you want in a sushi bar. Their Rainbow Roll rocks
