Great ahi tuna combinations. Pretty much anything you could want comes with ahi tuna. Some things to be aware of. If you’re sitting outside towards the afternoon, the shade will soon go away because the sun sets on the oceanside. It’s easier to get in from the mall side than the PCH side Parking is a nightmare unless you park in the downstairs parking garage for the shopping mall $8 per hour. Don’t bother with the street.

Absolutely love this place. The staff wasn't incredibly knowledgeable about the menu options, and they weren't very helpful. That's why I'm giving the four stars. The food, however, was absolutely delicious. You should know before going here, that the food is all Latin influenced. It is not a low country type of fresh seafood place, which is was we were expecting. It is nice to try different cuisines, and this was shockingly good. It was recommended by a local and we are so glad we tried it.

Really impressed with this place. A super simple model-serve whatever they catch-but done at a high level. Really good tacos (and a really good deal on Tues), really tasty Bear Flag hot sauce (please bottle more for sale!), and surprisingly good kimbucha margarita. Will definitely return again and again.

this place is good however can be pricy and the menu options are terrible. the service is slow but the food makes up for it. the ambience is like a mall and can be difficult and pricy. i recommend getting there early since fish does run out

Ordered Poke. Salmon and Tuna were fantastic. My daughter is not a fish fan but loves this restaurant with all the options for her. Nice to have a good beer with the poke and sit outside to enjoy the sunset. I love living here in Huntington Beach

I’m no stranger to Bear Flag, but this was our first visit to the Huntington Beach location and man did they pick a great spot.
The bar and outdoor seating areas have epic views of Huntington Beach and Pier. Grab an IPA or a class of Sauc Blanc and soak it in.
Per usual the food didn’t disappoint. It’s definitely a casual vibe and they have poke and ceviche for a quick grab whether you’re heading to the beach or going home to enjoy their fish.
We ordered the ahi poke, guac and chips and fish tacos. All delish!
This place got it goin on. So make sure you come with a great attitude, enjoy the food and tip the staff!

Great food quality. Order at Counter, Then seat yourself. Bus your own table. A little slow on cleaning of tables. Be prepared to clean / wipe down your table before you take your seat. Good Margaritas.....they did not skimp on alcohol.

Best place in Huntington Beach! We eat yesterday at Nobu new port beach and it was nothing compare to this restaurant!
Okay it’s not cheap but it’s all fresh and staff is running and kind!

Probably the thickest sashimi I’ve ever seen! It’s really fresh and taste amazing.
Especially tuna - it has a great balance between being soft and being chewy.

Ordered clam chowder. They were out of bread and subbed tortilla chips, which were tasty but wish they have offered salsa. Chowder was good and really hot. For the smallest chowder and a bottle of water it was $10 +tip. Not a great deal, but quick and convenient.

Love this place! I live in San Diego now and still need to stop here every time I visit. The poke is unbeatable. Melts in your mouth. Poke burrito is also bomb. Delicious flavor. Incredible quality. Beautiful views of the ocean. If you’re debating coming here just do it!
